"Warning. Long review: They have a nice program set up. Most coaches and staff are great. One lead staff member in particular is selective in which parents and kids she prefers and is great for the families she genuinely likes. When correcting children, some parents she will approach first (which is customary) and then approach the child. Other parents, she will avoid completely. I’ve been attending here with my children for some time now, and her avoidance of me in particular (which I find odd) has occurred on several occasions. When initially signing up I spoke with her about my eldest child (who has high needs) and found that they did not have space for his needs, even in a one on one setting during non-busy hours. Which, I accepted. As a high needs parent, it is not uncommon to be rejected from programs due to not having staff capable of handling certain types of children. Ever since initially signing up though, and after being told my eldest could not even attend a free trial class (again, I accepted), I’ve felt a prejudice, from this staff member in particular, towards myself and my other two children who do attend. My daughter is extremely athletic, but has had boys intentionally harm her in a very dangerous way during ninja (we do both ninja and gymnastics) and all that they asked was for the boy to say sorry. My daughter had to sit out for a bit because she was hurt (she has brothers, and usually bounces back quickly). My youngest son can be aggressively affectionate. In that same class that my daughter was injured, he lift hugged a girl student (his friend) but dropped her in a way that she fell on the floor. She wasn’t injured, just startled and was able to happily complete the class. He did this right after the warm up, and was told to sit out for the rest of the class (missing 45+ min of class). This staff member immediately addressed the parent of the girl. Then addressed this parent again at the end, who was happy with how they handled the issue. They did not speak to me until after class was over and they spoke to my son before even looking at me. They never spoke to the parent of the boy who intentionally pushed heavy equipment at my daughter causing her to get slammed against the fence. Never spoke to me about her injury. Just asked he say sorry and asked her if she needed ice. I get asking kids to apologize and then allowing them to move on. Especially when they’re young. And having a high needs child, I get having to deal with tough situations, regulating and de-escalating not only children’s emotions but adults emotions. For whatever reason, I don’t understand why this staff member treats me different from other parents. And treats some children’s behaviors intensely while others more mildly. I don’t understand it. Other than my negative experience with this staff member (and my negative observations of other specific staff member(s)) which is confusing, I’ve found most other staff are great. And the program overall is well set up. I hope this long review was well explained so that any other parents who attend here or who are considering attending understand where I was personally coming from. I think most people who attend here have no issues and enjoy the program very much. I have a set date to stop attending here, and will be looking for another program for my kids to attend and enjoy. I hope that if you do choose Gold Medal Gymnastics, for any of their programs, that you will sincerely enjoy it, and that your kids will find success here."

"Can’t recommend this place enough!!! We came over here from The Little Gym, which just wasn’t as professional as we wanted. They work on the same concepts each week but do it in new fun ways. You can tell the teachers really plan it out. Everyone is so energetic & nice. Plus there’s a coffee shop inside… need I say more? ;)"

"We attend open gym occasionally here and have always had a blast! Coaches are all over to help keep an eye on kids and show correct moves if needed, but mostly parent guided. We haven't had the opportunity to attend classes yet but live the staff so we look forward to when we can add that to our schedules."
