Reviews
"This review is for your ticketing ONLY. It was HORRIBLE….nearly impossible to purchase ticket on-line. From choosing a ticket to creating a NEW account, to checkout….filled with errors. Took me an HOUR to FINALLY get this done. This needs to be fixed…it is absolutely the worst I have ever used."
"Truly enjoyed the theatre, the people and overall ambience. The acoustics were great. Parking at the Wells Fargo lot at 7pm on a Friday, however, was close to non-existent. Be aware."
"Childsplay Theater did an amazing job presenting The Diary of Anne Frank. We always enjoy their shows. The Scottsdale Center for the Arts was beautiful as well."
"The Virginia G. Piper Theater (also known as the Scottsdale Performing Arts Center) is known for its acoutistics and its feeling of intimacy. With less than 900 seats and the progressive elevation of each row of the comfortable seating, there's no bad viewing in the house. The organization is committed to presenting classical and contemporary art performances of all kinds - from dance, music, lectures, online arts programming and more. Examples: There is an upcoming juried show of 100 rare and historic vehicles one rarely sees. We recently attended a funk band performance that had the entire house on its feet. Pricing is reasonable, tho' rates depend on each performance. Generally one can find back of house pricing around $50 with median pricing around $80. Seats next to the orchestra are close to double that. There's ample close parking in the adjacent parking garage and a number of excellent eateries close by. Additionally, the theater often opens up to 2 hours earlier than performances; patrons can enjoy a cocktail in the lobby and chat, shop in the Store for a variety of art, handcrafts, and various giftables, and then leisurely gain access to their seats."
"A very nice performing arts theater. Seats are comfortable, sounds quality is good. Currently requiring proof of vaccination and mask wearing."
