"Intentionally discharging an 85 year old woman with dementia to her own apartment over Christmas holiday with no care providers after a stroke is a clever means to avoid insurance coverage."
"they wont authorize exams requested by specialists in their network and keep denying them with new excuses"
"I've been with them for 10+ yrs. w/o any issues until the last 4+ months. It shouldn't has taken 4 calls to renew my ins. card & STILL NOT have my 'correct' ins. card. I take 2 Rx's that SHOULD NOT be suddenly stopped w/o catastrophic results...especially after 4 calls & being assured "again" they'll experdite my card. Since I A'ed my pharmacology course as a RN student I most sincerely am very concerned about "suddenly" stopping a Rx I've been on 10+ yrs. (Hydrocodone) in pain management after 3 spinal surgeries (been putting off 4th for more than a year.) & on Nitroglycerin spray for considerly longer just because I lack my multiple requested ins. card! SHAME on you UHC!!!"
"I'm really happy w/UHC. Been their client 4 more than a decade! I take advantage of all the benefits UHC offers: Medical, Dental, Chiropractic, acupuncture, along with transportation & medication mgmt. They really offer comprehensive plans with excellent customer service."
"I hated having United Healthcare. I had a PPO and it was an awful experience. A large portion of my new prescriptions were initially denied until the doctor called in each time to consult with the insurer, which means I often had to either wait a day to get my medication or pay out of pocket. And when my son got diagnosed with autism, the policy of course excluded autism services. I switched back to Blue Cross and had a great experience."
