MAA Lyon's Gate

"We looked at many different apartments before we moved here and found MAA Lions Gate to be the one that met our needs. Kearia in the office that helped us was so generous and patient and explained everything to us. We moved from out of state, and she made it such an easy experience. The apartment complex is clean and quiet, and the amenities are great. Family and pet friendly. Great location in Gilbert."

"Original post ( keep reading for edit): Easy move in process, clean amenities, nice floor plans and so much kitchen space. I love the pool area and the nice green areas on either side of it. Neighbors and the complex itself are for the most part quiet aside from the occasional bang on the walls or dogs barking and the morning yard work but that’s to be expected when living in an apartment building and I’ve yet to have had major maintenance issues. 3 complaints, I am not a fan of the stove. I originally thought they were gas come to find out they are the weird electric coils. They aren’t level and they have ruined the bottoms of a couple of my pans. Just seems a little dated. They also send out a good amount of seemingly unimportant emails. After hours reminders, garbage disposal reminders, recycle reminders… but the gates to the property have been left open and I’m assuming broken for the past month with no email update on what’s going on with them. Kinda defeats the purpose of me wanting a gated community for safety if anyone can drive in off the street because the gates are never closed. Would appreciate an update along with the many other email reminders they send. Lastly the pool is amazing and apparently the non residents think so too. There have been many times where I have been in the pool around 9PM and groups of high school kids from surrounding neighborhoods hop the fence or simply reach over the gate to unlock it from the other side which can definitely ruin a peaceful hot tub night as well as be a safety concern. Edit: they only seem to care about getting people in and out so they can make more money, as soon as you sign the lease they are just waiting for your lease to be over so they can get you out. They raised my rent to a ridiculous amount and now I either have to make serious budget cuts to afford it or look for another place. They refuse to make any upgrades to an outdated unit even though my rent has been raised to the price of one that is upgraded (all I wanted was for my carpets to be cleaned as it looks like they have never been touched since they were put in). They only allow longer lease terms for new renters and as soon as you sign the longest you can renew for is 12 months. Longer lease terms = cheaper rent so only being able to renew for 12 months after being on a 14 month lease seems shady. Also, every Saturday morning at 8AM the yard work crew turns on their leaf blowers and that continues for god knows how long. I can’t remember the last Saturday I was able to sleep past 8am without being woken up by yard work. I would also like to note that they don’t seem to think it’s important to notify current residents about things happening in the complex that could be relevant to them. I got home one day to the car port and three cars that were parked under it completely burnt to a crisp. It looked like the cars had exploded and the surrounding areas caught fire. Now the fire was probably not the complex fault however this was only about 5 cars away from where I park. It would’ve been nice to be notified of a potentially life threatening/property damaging incident that happened on the property in extremely close proximity to my home and car. No emails, no calls, no notice on the doors. Extremely poor communication from them on things that actually matter."

"This is my second time living at MAA Lyon's gate. I recently moved back in on 1/13/2024, Teri was great! She helped me with all the information I requested, application process, and additional paperwork needed for my move in. She was very active, reliable, and answered any questions I had. (I had quite a few since my move-in date was further out and I also have an ESA with me.) The complex is in a great location, my move in was so easy, and I haven't had any issues. I would recommend this apartment complex, the prices were fair and correctly stated on Zillow/their own website."

"All of the leasing team is knowledgeable and professional. I mainly worked with Teri, but everyone is so pleasant. I have lived here about five months now and I love it so much. The amenities are great and I haven’t had any issues. Maintenance staff is also very prompt and responsive. Great community!"

"I have been living at the Edge at Lyons Gate since 2018, and I love living here. The location is great at the corner of Highley Road and East Ray Road in Gilbert, Arizona. The apartment complex is very clean and well-maintained. There is a nice gym and swimming pool. The ladies at the office are very helpful and friendly, and the maintenance requests are always answered promptly and efficiently. The area is quiet and safe. Dunkin Donuts is right at the corner of the complex. The post office, Wells Fargo Bank and the Corner Store (convenience store and gas station) just across the street. There are several restaurants and food places a few blocks away, as well as grocery stores and drugstores. Medical offices, gyms and other businesses are a few minutes ride away. The rent prices are among the lowest compared to other apartments in the area. I love the lighted palms and the great care of the gardens (fabulous flowers in Spring!) Thank you."
