"I lived in Dana Park through 2023 and early 24, as a Baron Properties-owned complex. The office workers were all very knowledgeable in the information they needed to know with the questions I asked. The office hours were helpful given many people's normal working hours. They did a lot of nice upgrades and renovations to the property, including the common areas, while I was there. The only minor thing I can think of is that they seemed a bit understaffed with maintenance workers, so sometimes I had to wait a bit for things to get done, but they always did well with what I needed. Also, the security gates didn't seem that useful since they are kept open during the day and often wouldn't even close at night. As minor things, they don't detract from the 5 stars I give this place. All in all, the prices are great for the location and units/facilities offered. Also, they were completely fair and reasonable with getting me my deposit money back at the end of my lease. Definitely recommend living here if you choose to live in the area"
"Our maintenance crew was great in figuring out what my issue was. Unfortunately, it is caused by the new equipment (dryer) installed with the remodel next door. Not quite sure why it is so much louder than others that are all new this past year. Oh well, only have to live with this jet blower through March when my lease is up. Thanks for trying anyway."
"Move in was easy. Neighborhood is quieter than my last place; I have enjoyed the peace since moving in. Nice neighbors; everyone has been respectful and helpful. Amenities have been great so far. Neighborhoods behind apts are walkable for pets and kids. I enjoy management - friendly, receptive, and have the answers I need. The buildings are undergoing renovation. Grounds - they take pride; there is someone out there daily cleaning up trash and storm debris. It's been very positive so far."
"This is difficult because I have loved living here for the last 4 years. My name is Moises Gonzalez and I am a Disabled Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. I moved in to the Dana Park Apartments in 2019 because the crew was really nice and welcoming and made it feel like this was a great community which it was. It really stood out above anything else in the area. Unfortunately, the complex was bought out a little over a year ago and everything has changed. My lease is up in less than 2 months and the new company is heartless. I have been here with my family for 4 years and they are putting us out on the street. They are refusing to renew our lease. They reran my credit and all of a sudden it is not good enough even though I have paid my rent on time for the last 4 years. There is really no loyalty to loyal tenants anymore. They increased the rent dramatically since they bought the property which I was fine with but even with me agreeing to pay their new ridiculous rates, they are putting me and my family on the streets. On top of that, they keep adding new terms to tenants leases after they already signed. They recently took away tenants parking spots and pushed them further from their apartments in a way that makes no sense. Management use to be friendly with tenants where as now, they are bullying their tenants. It almost seems like they want to push out old tenants to make room for new tenants. I’ve also noticed a sense of racism from the staff. It is just a horrible place to live now, I use to love living here but now I cannot wait to get my family out of here. If you are inquiring about this place, just do yourselves a favor and look somewhere else. This place is not worth the headache. I don’t want to make this too long but on top of the horribly rude staff, I have had to deal with black mold growing on the walls in the apartment, scorpions making their way in during the monsoon season, and my ac constantly breaking down during the heatwave we all just went through. I was willing to put up with all of it just because I loved the area so much but on top of enduring with all the bad in this place, now we are being forced out for no reason at all. This is what you get when you move here, a company who has no problem putting a wounded veteran and his family on the street. Oh and to top it off, I got the news of our notice to vacate on Veterans Day of all days"
"If i could give zero stars I would. There is a lot to like about this place. There are cute herb windows in most of the units. Prices are decent. Units are unique and there is great Communal spaces throughout. Except the meeting room they list as an amenity. They charge $400 for a day to rent the tiny space behind the leasing office. Insanity. Baron properties and Dana park apartments enforce abstract and barbaric rules on what you can and cannot have on your balcony. Here are some examples. I was threatened with eviction when I had my bike occasionally parked on my balcony in between uses. I have been threatened with eviction multiple times now for having random innocent items on my balcony. Such as plants that had recently died in the heatwave during the summer. A few moving bins and boxes which were there TEMPORARILY. They have also threatened families with eviction because children's toys and little bikes are not allowed on balconies at Dana Park Apartments. It was so incredibly sad to see kids toys and bikes gradually disappear from view when you go for walks around the complex. If you have a family, stay away from Dana Park apartments. If you want to ride a bike. Stay away. If neither of those things matter to you then by all means. It's a great complex otherwise."
