"We've lived here approximately a year and a half and for the most part it's been enjoyable. If we had a maintenance issue, boom, done! For as many review complaints I've seen about the office staff, I'm surprised because I haven't had an issue and they've always been courteous and professional. The issue I have is there seems to be a fee after fee after fee. Last December, I was late on rent and was charged 10% of the monthly rent which is $232.40. Ouch, however, it states in the rental agreement that's their policy, so be it! My Chase banking account was compromised, so I couldn't pay December's rent on time. I phoned Corporate and informed them of the situation and they said send us proof of what you're stating on a Chase letterhead. I felt as if I was being interrogated but sent them the requested documentation. I still haven't received a refund and have phoned them a few times and they simply say send the information again. I could understand if I had a pattern of being late but come on, can you give me a break due to circumstance. I also had a $50 fee because I didn't change my gas over into my name fast enough. The complex called it a "recovery fee" because they took on the responsibility for paying the gas until the account was in my name. Where talking about less than a week of them taking responsibility and the bill was less than $25. There is also what is called Lifestyle services which is a concierge service, It's just under $12 monthly and mandatory. I don't use it because I don't need it, but your still charged for it and there's no way around it. And lastly, the clubhouse was under renovation when we moved in a year and a half ago, and just reopened (don't quote me) the end of last year. This is the first time since I was in my teens that I've rented, so maybe this is the norm, however I feel as if the Fees are excessive. They're other minor issue as well that shouldn't exist, but I won't go into them. In closing, if someone asked if I would recommend Desert Club Apartments, I would respond with a polite "No!""

"Everything has been amazing since the day I moved in. No complaints. The apartments have been remodeled beautifully. They had me at slow close cabinets. So spacious and lots of storage. Moved in back in April and it’s been amazing. I also love that the pool is salt water!"

"I haven’t been here long but so far everyone has been wonderful and I love my apartment. The neighbors are so nice too. Twice people have offered to help me carry things upstairs. The pool is pretty awesome too. My daughter also lives here. I love being neighbors with her!"

"Beautiful location, beautiful apartment, great amenities, excellent office staff! Answered all my questions! Toured 2 units. Went with the bigger one in the perfect location. Great view for fireworks! The grounds are clean and comfortable, the units are impressive and impeccable. The new remodels are amazing! So clean and vibrant! I would say desert club is by far the apartments in the area for the best value, for what you get is amazing. The pool and fitness center are stunning and after the office remodel they show a game room also which is exciting! The pool has tvs and grills and cabanas and living at desert club has me feeling like everyday is a vacation! Thanks Carissa and your team for your work and making desert club a 5 star community."

"Only been here for a less than a week, but I think my experience so far precipitates what the rest of my lease here will be like. Management is always nice to me and is ok with me pestering them with questions. If they dont pick up, which is rare, they always answer emails in under an hour. The apartment is new and comfy and even though I chose their cheapest option I still get new (2015+) appliances, soft close cabinets, good lighting, and a large patio. Likely you won't need the lights until after dark as the Arizona sun beams through the window even in the evening. A/C is kind of slow to heat and cool the apartment, but it does work and it is programmable. They will give you free paper towels, bottled water, and soap too. Small but appreciated. I moved from Alabama and ordered furnishings on Amazon and they even moved my stuff into my apartment for me before I got here. They also listened to what I wanted in an apartment, that being that it be well noise insulated so I can go nuts when I want and game as loud as I want..they placed me in a corner unit above a row of garages so no one can hear me. Very much appreciated. Maintenance is always walking around so any requests are answered quickly. Garbage and recycling is strategically placed. Oh btw you will be within walking distance from Whole Foods and Safeway, and within jogging/biking distance from a bunch of other shopping centers so if you have a bike you're going to love it. 9/10 experience so far. I will edit the review if it changes. If you have a lot of money saved up, make a lot, or both then I'd recommend staying here."
