"My son has been sick for almost a week. We took him to Phoenix children’s urgent care and as usual the doctors are in a rush and did not check my son how they should have. We started taking my son to DR. Rivas this year and have had nothing but GREAT experiences. She saw my son and diagnosed him correctly. Everyone in that office is amazing, kind, compassionate and just CARES! I will follow this doctor whenever she goes because she is that good. Wait times are on the longer side because she takes her time to truly listen to you and to check your child. I love this place and am grateful for doctors like DR. Rivas."

"Dr. Xyomara is amazing, she has seen my kids for 8 years now, she’s bilingual, she takes her time to talk to the patient and explain all the concerns you might have. Unfortunately the receptionist is the opposite, the past 3 times I called to make appointments for my kids it’s been a nightmare, she is rude, she would not give an answer if you have questions or she will answer with another question. Today I ended up not making an appointment for my son because of her attitude."

"Great Dr!!. DR Rivas been my daughters' Dr. Since born. We followed her from her other office. Great amazing Dr. Unfortunately now with the new tardy policy I'm unable to stay in this office. I understand that people need to get charge for no call no show, we did show up late, But I just couldn't pay 50 dollars, we medicaid patients and I guess, we are not supposed to get charge, I ask for a bill but I was told I couldn't get billed because it was separate from the insurance. It sucks because my daughters really like Dr Rivas, Any how.just Heads up.for New Patients not to be late or you will get charge"

"First time mommy here with a 2 week newborn baby. I had to pay cash due to no insurance yet and was very picky when looking for pediatrician for my baby. I decided on here due to the great reviews. I am so GLAD I came here and saw Dr. Rivas. She was full of joy when she saw my baby. She made me feel at ease due to my baby having a cough/cold and being so little. I felt relief knowing baby is okay. She answered all my questions and gave good recommendations. I didn’t feel the appointment hurried. I feel safe and a right decision to continue bringing my newborn here. The front office girl was really nice as well. There wasn’t crazy amount of paperwork and brought me back right away."

"I really wanted to like this doctor because she had so many good reviews and her office is really close to where I live so after my experience, I am very disappointed. First red flag is that the waiting area is very small, so sick and healthy children are expected to wait in the same area which is such a problem especially during RSV season. Second red flag, I waited over an hour and a half for my children to be seen because she was taking walk ins. Why have appointment times if you are not going to go by the appointment time? And the very worst of it all is that the doctor said my child was "small" and ordered me to concentrate her formula more. My daughter was born two months prematurely, she is 6 months right now but 4 months adjusted. She is small for a 6 month old but just the right size for a 4 month old which is what we should be basing her height and weight off of. After concentrating her formula, my daughter began to have severe constipation due to not being able to digest it properly because it was too concentrated (I followed the concentration sheet that was provided to me)! This lead to a visit to the urgent care where I was able to get a second opinion and the Dr confirmed that my baby is not "too small" and does not need to have her formula more concentrated. Now, for my 6 year old son, she was great and offered good recommendations. Not sure if this day was just a bad day for Dr. Rivas or if she just does not have much knowledge on premature infants. If you do have a premature child, I suggest you do research and maybe find another physician with more expertise on premature babies. I want to note that I am in no way trying to bash this Dr, she was kind and was very knowledgeable just not knowledgeable in regards to preemies."
