"This apartment complex was managed by MEB now its ASSET living. Both out under the same corporation. Most crooked illlegal shady lying management companies I’ve ever dealt with. Just for for clarity and openness with honesty I have been evicted from casa de Coronado apartments. I was illegally evicted with money being stolen from my portal. In August of 2023 I was informed by Sergio the then property manager that MEB would turning over the management to Asset living on September 1st of 2023. I went on vacation beginning of august 2023. My rent was paid on time every month for two years. I had it on auto pay. I always had a larger amount being put in my rental portal due to the changing con service bill. When I returned from vacation the middle of august MEB had already turned over the property to Asset living. Sergio was gone and a whole new staff was in the office. I was informed that MEB had turned over management to Asset living the portal we used to pay rent with MEB was no longer accessible. I went to retrieve my mail in the office because for over a year we had to get our mail from the office because the criminals open the mail box and steal the mail. In the middle of September 2023 I was informed by Shirley the new manager that I was behind in my rent. Shirley informed me that I had not paid July and August. I in fact paid July I have the receipt thru my bank for that payment. I was told by Shirley and the female employee who worked there for just over month that I had a $1600 surplus in my MEB renter portal. I could not access that portal anymore. I was also given a $1600 credit from MEB for video from my security cameras. I should have had $3200 in my portal. The new female employee always stated I had a surplus in my MEB portal. Shirley said it once but then told me I had no surplus. Female employee was moved after a month. I asked Shirley whom was a liar mean disrespectful, said I had no surplus and refused to give me a payment plan to cover the $2400 I owed Asset living claimed I owed. I did not have $2400 Shirley refused to accept a payment plan. Shirley also violated my rights to have security cameras although they was well within the legal perimeters. Also Shirley refused to remediate my apartment due to a AC condensation inability to drain which flooded the utility closet and my daughters closet. I had the use my shop vac 3 times a day to suck up all the water. It took over a month to fix the AC. My daughter has PCOS and has to take allergy shots every week which I informed Shirley of in person. Asset Living did not have a renters portal. MEB had a portal but the maintenance crew would close out work orders without ever fixing the problem so I had to go in person. They did that so there was no record of the maintenance issues. I lived in apartment WS 104 for a year. No one lived in WS 104 for a year after I moved out due to extreme mold problems. My daughters allergies got worse in WS 104 and became even more serious in TS 126. Every apartment has serious mold issues which management is aware of. They have a serious cockroach and spider infestation. It would take weeks to get anyone to come and spray chemicals. When I was moving out of WS 104 I was originally going to the second floor of the building that has the office facing blacklidge. I was informed by Sergio 3 weeks prior to my move that that TS 126 was going to be remodeled and it was a bottom floor. I walked over the week I was going to move and seen new flooring boxes and new cabinet boxes. When I moved in nothing was remodeled. They had removed all the new flooring and cabinets and put in the apartment I was as originally moving to. A family on section 8 took that apartment. So what MEB would do is give section 8 remodeled apartments so they would pass inspection and those of us who pay full price would get a poorly repainted mold infested apartment. There is maintenance issues that was never fixed from my walk thru. The door is so bad that the dog would use it as a peep hole. You could push it open with the door locked. I’ll file a lawsuit"
"I've been living here for a year and Priscilla (the manager) is absolutely awesome!! Although, I've been through the unfortunate dealings with an eviction caused by the changing of the management company (M.E.B.) to now Asset Living Priscilla has been the most knowledgeable and understanding, but adheres to the policies in a professional manner!! ASSET LIVING MANAGEMENT PLEASE KEEP HER AS THE MANAGER!!!! THE FIRST TWO SETS WERE IDIOTS!!!!!"
"Homeless people are literally living by the trash containers and smoking crack mid-day. The gate to the parking lot has been broken for several years and no one seems to care to fix it. The alarm gets triggered at night every hour because of the homeless people that get inside."
"I’m only 19 so I’m new at apartment hunting. I had no idea what I was doing so I brought my friend along the tour with me (she’s owned an apartment for almost 2 years now). I made an appointment to tour so it wasn’t just a walk in. It took about 30 mins to even be acknowledged. They seemed very unorganized and all over the place. I was looking at renting the studio. When Priscilla took me to see it, they only had one available to show and it was in the process of being renovated so I couldn't even see it. Then she seemed like she was in such a rush to get me out of there. She wasn’t giving me all the information about the place. Luckily my friend was there and knew what exactly to ask, but she seemed so annoyed that she was even asking questions. I decided to apply anyways because I need a place to live. When I applied they wanted $200 for an “administrative fee” plus the application fee. (Not refundable) So in total it was $253 which is absurd just to apply. When I got approved, they said they were going to send me my lease over email and for me to sign it. A week goes by and I haven’t received it. So I call and they said that I have to set up my electric and also that my deposit is $1,000 instead of $500 due to no rent history (which I know is normal) so then in the next 24 hrs they would send it. Well yet again, nothing! I’ve waited almost 3 weeks for my lease and my move in date was only a week away. It would be different if they told me that I would sign it on my move in date, but they were just stringing me around and it was super frustrating. Also, they rarely answer their phone. Sometimes I’d have to call 6 times in one day just for someone to answer. The gate was broken so there were homeless people walking around the property. The mail was also broken and this man was waiting around 20 mins just to get his mail from the office. I hope other people have a better experience, but I would rather live somewhere else."
"NOPE! Cockroaches are out of control. Maintenance requests are ignored. I lived there for almost 2 years and as soon as I got the chance to move, I took it. They are under new management now as of August and they were very helpful in retrieving money that was misappropriated prior to their involvement. But this is the third time in 2 years that the management team has changed. There are always homeless people on the property smoking fentanyl. The way the addresses are listed makes it all but impossible for any type of delivery to make it to your door. The mailboxes are constantly being broken into with no repairs being done to keep mailboxes secure. Floor plans are a total misuse of space. Leaf blowers run every week, sometimes twice a week. There are other much nicer complexes in Tucson for less money and hassle."
