"So far, it's been a stellar experience. Ms. Leraia is beyond helpful!!!! What phenomenal customer service she produces! We couldn't visit the grounds initially, so Ms. Leraia video chatted with my Wife and gave her the full tour that way! This is one of many reasons why we chose here. Management at an apartment home is key and they have that figured out here."
"Do not move here. Too expensive. Old apartments with really cheap updates. People always complaining of strangers trying to open their doors in the middle of the night. Water is always being shut off without explanation. And now they say they’ve been undercharging us for utilities and we’re gonna start paying more in November. Smh. Can’t wait to leave this place."
"Note the following things before opting to move here: 1. Loud Noises from Thin Walls: The thin walls in my apartment have exposed me to constant noise disruptions, including barking dogs, footsteps, blaring video games, and loud music. I've complained several times, particularly about the dog noise, but my concerns were not adequately addressed. It's disappointing to feel as though my peace and quiet are disregarded. 2. Persistent Unpleasant Smells: Despite residing in a renovated unit and being a non-smoker, my apartment consistently reeks of cigarette or weed smoke. This is not what I expected when moving into a supposedly updated apartment. 3. Issues with Closet Door and Appliances: On the day I moved in, the closet door was inoperable, and four months later, it remains unrepaired. My experience with the microwave and sink has also been less than satisfactory, though maintenance has been relatively prompt in addressing these issues. 4. Incomplete Move-In Experience: My move-in day was far from seamless. I had to wait for over three hours while they finished constructing my apartment. This was a frustrating and unexpected delay. 5. Flooding during Monsoon Season: The bottom units in the complex are susceptible to flooding during monsoon season, adding another layer of concern to my living experience. 6. Apartment Flooding: This is perhaps the most distressing incident of all. Due to a clogged water line, my entire apartment was flooded, forcing me to vacate my home at 10:00 PM on a work night. The communication from the apartment complex during this crisis was virtually non-existent. The apartment's response was marked by snarkiness and a slow reaction to my concerns. To add to the distress, the apartment wasn't very responsive throughout this ordeal. Now, I must admit there are some positive aspects to living here. The pools are indeed very nice, the security of the mail system is commendable, the location is excellent, and the staff was amiable during the move-in process. However, the numerous issues I've encountered have overshadowed these positives, leaving me with an overall negative experience."
"I resided in this complex, specifically in apartment 167, for a year, and it was an absolute nightmare. I feel compelled to share my experience so that others are informed before considering living here. 1. Deposit Refund Nightmare: The most significant issue I encountered was the agonizing process of getting my $1,500 deposit refunded. I moved out on August 23rd, and as of September 29th, I still haven’t received it!!! After countless emails and phone calls (which often went unanswered), I was promised a refund within 14 days in an official letter on my move-out day, only to wait for over a month. Please don’t trust their words! 2. Inconsistent Information: There was a constant disconnect between what the manager, Shandra Hewitt, said and what her staff communicated. The manager never took responsibility, often claiming that her team had made mistakes. 3. Lost Documents: Despite giving a two-month notice before moving out, they initially tried to charge me, alleging I hadn’t given notice. It took a lengthy visit to their office to find my notice. Expect them to misplace your documents and attempt unjust charges! 4. Lack of Concern for Residents: I reported a neighbor’s dog with separation anxiety, but the office ignored my emails. Be prepared to handle issues on your own. The dog used to bark constantly starting from 7:00 in the morning! 5. Poor Maintenance: Despite paying a higher rent compared to similar complexes, maintenance was shockingly slow. It took over a week for them to address a simple dishwasher issue (filter cleaning). 6. Unjust Charges: They tried to charge me $50, claiming I hadn’t provided my TEP account number before moving in, which was mandatory and untrue. 7. Deceptive Fees: They added a camera fee monthly, despite my initial understanding that it was every two months! They altered the contract after my signature but I couldn’t prove it as they didn’t give me a copy of the contract. 8. Delayed Promises: They promised a gift card within two months of moving in, which I received after four months and countless requests!!! They think you will forget about the gift card and won’t give it to you unless you ask them at least several time! 9. Disrespectful Behavior: While their behavior during the leasing process may seem pleasant, it takes a turn for the worse once you’ve moved in. The manager, in particular, displayed a lack of respect and professionalism! In summary, the office management is untrustworthy and disrespectful. They mishandle documents, prioritize money over residents, and fail to deliver on promises. I anticipate they’ll respond to this review with apologies, but I doubt their sincerity. I wouldn’t recommend this complex, even if it were rent-free. Beware!"
"I have lived here for a little over a year, and am quite happy. The amenities are clean, the complex is safe and maintenance always solves my problems efficiently. The appliances are definitely old, but I think the apartments are a good value for the part of town you're in. The apartments are right on the river walk and a short drive to La Encantada. I wish the management would decide to recycle; in this day and age, there is really no excuse not to. Hopefully, they can change that! 12/29/17 Update! There is recycling. Hooray!"
