VETCO Vaccination Clinic at PETCO

"If I could give Vetco at Petco 0 stars or negative stars, I would... NEVER USE THEM! The miscommunication between their staff is atrocious, and to make matters worse, they don't do anything to rectify the situation when it impacts their customers. I spoke to a "supervisor" named Sherry and I explained that we were told by TWO vet techs the day we got our dogs' rabies vaccinations that we could call customer service afterwards to give them our veterinarian's records for their last rabies shot to change the rabies vaccination from 1 to 3 years. I am now being told there is nothing more Vetco can do because "the records can't be changed." If we knew this, we would not have gotten our dogs rabies vaccines done when we did and we would have rescheduled. We were assured several times that all we had to do was call customer service to have this updated. When I asked what Vetco can do, Sherry told me they can't offer a refund, even though it was almost $100 for our two dogs, any type of a credit, or offer any other compensation considering we are now left with having to get the shots done again in a year! I asked for another supervisor or someone else to speak to, and was denied. Absolutely atrocious customer service and poor communication between their employees... and then they leave customers to deal with the fallout! Extremely disappointing! "If I could give this place zero stars I would. We went in for vaccinations. Firstly, they didn't take our cat into a room so she was just stranded in the waiting area on a folding table?!?!? Dogs barking at her and already stressed out being away from home. Second, they didn't bother to give her some comfort. And third, to charge $108 for VACCINES that are routine and usually like $40-$50 at normal clinics. I was astounded. I wanted to try here since it was closer to home but oh my G-D never again. They don't treat cats like they do dogs and it shows. DONT RUN A VET IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN ONE. PERIOD."

"First time bringing in my Bengal cat to Vetco. My other Vet couldn't get my boy in, and he needed to be seen next day due to some sudden skin rashes and excessive licking. I booked the appointment online, simple and easy. When we went in, we were greeted with a wonderful gal up front. She had a very understanding and calm demeanor and my extremely shy boy rubbed up against her pant leg, which was a pleasant welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable considering the sterile environment. When the doctor came in with his assistant, they were extremely understanding. They moved slow and didn't make loud noises or movements. They allowed me to be a part of holding him through the entire experience so he wouldn't stress as much. The added benefits of getting Hobbes in here is we could grab anything necessary for him at the store, or they could grab it for you and show you their recommendations. Hobbes did such a good job. I was a ball of stress because I wasn't sure how he was going to react to others, but due to their calm energy (so to speak) he did far better than I would have hoped. I'm definitely going to be going back here from now on. I absolutely adore the staff there. Thank you Vetco, for getting us in super fast and helping us get back to normal. Day two and the meds have worked!"
