"Used to love this place but then they merged with "pleasant pediatrics" after Dr.Kutler retired. Since then I haven't been much of a fan but being that we have been with them 14 years and because I really like Julie at the front desk who is always very kind and helpful and goes above and beyond to help everyone out, we stayed. The thing that really pissed me off is this policy over vaccines. Having said that, I am not an "anti-vax" parent, all 4 of my kids were vaccinated per recommended CDC guidelines until age 5, and then started school. After that I chose to opt out of only SOME of recommend vaccines because they seemed excessive and because THEY HAVE ALREADY HAD 5 DOSES. I was getting letters sent home from my kids school saying "even fully vaccinated kids can still catch whooping cough". Oh, okay. Well forgive me for having the audacity to have serious questions about why there is a 6th, 7th, 8th dose of the same exact thing being required and the fact that im being told, even with additional doses, they can still get it. The only answer I could get was, "Well, I recommend" which was not based on her (one of the PA's) medical opinion but 100% based on what "the CDC, says" she is supposed to tell me. Ohhhh.... The CDC?? Huh? The same CDC that squandered much of its credibility over the entire covid fiasco, and continues to recommend vaccines that are injuring people while simultaneously claiming they are "safe and effective"?? That CDC??? Forgive me if I don't believe them, or you really either at this point. If the vaccines work, they should work, im not going to continue to subject my 11, 12 & 14yr old kids who are all previously vaccinated to additional doses of things with toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, viruses and who knows what else in the name of "thee science" because the CDC suggests doing so. Anyways, we were "fired" as patients for non-compliance with CDC "RECOMMENDATIONS" and considered "non-vaxers". So really what they mean is "MANDATORY" not recommended and also "Do what we say or we will bully you into it by refusing treatment for non related illnesses". Apparently to them that is now what is considered "informed consent". Ha! And my favorite part, was the reason we were there was for a reoccurring cold sore my son was getting. He was refused antivirals for that because she felt it was "excessive". However, my concerns over the CDCs long list of actually excessive vaccines that he has already had, totally cool, not a problem at all, infact we are going to insist on additional doses, or refuse to see him again. To me this screams, We don't care about these kids or their health, they care about getting $$$$ and getting kickbacks from the government for pushing their vaccines. Also we don't care about the parents or their concerns or opinions, just take the shot and shut up, or go away. Got it. Government involvement via private health institutions is going to be the downfall of Western medicine. Parents will increasingly resent this crap and were not talking about goods or services, ECT. This is about the health of OUR children. Not the CDCs, not the Doctors, not the schools, they are our kids, and so keep this crap up, the backlash is coming, and im here for it. Good luck to you, you're going to need it."
"we love the doctors here, and drive all the way from downtown just to be our kids here! the staff are the best and kind and the office is super clean!"
"I initially chose this practice for my newborn son. As my son was born during the RSV season I was wanting to get the RSV vaccine as a precaution. I was initially told that my insurance would not cover the vaccine and that I would need to pay $650 if I wanted my son to receive it. I took their word for it and went home. As we approached my son’s 1 month check up, I called my insurance company directly to inquire about coverage for the vaccine. The assured me that the vaccine was in fact covered at 100% for newborns. Equipped with this information. We brought it to the attention of Dr. Brown. She spoke with their billing people and we were informed again that we would need to pay the $650 because our insurance company Aetna will deny the claim as “experimental”.Needless to say we left again being unvaccinated. As we approached my son’s two month check up. I again called my insurance company to confirm coverage for the RSV vaccine. I was again told that yes, the vaccine is covered at 100% and there should be no patient responsibility. They also sent me the link to the Clinical Policy Bulletin #1038 which details the specific coverage criteria for coverage and told me to bring it to my appointment. Fast forward to the appointment and I again request the RSV vaccine and give the paperwork from Aetna showing the coverage. After taking my print out and leaving us in the exam room for over an hour while they called their central billing department; we were again told that no, Aetna does not cover it and we would need to pay the $650 to get the vaccine. Again, we left without the vaccine. I got home and was able to call another pediatrician who was able to get him in and as of writing this, my son now has the protection from RSV. And I was not required to pay anything out of pocket. In regard to the office, it is extremely small and the exam rooms feel like closets. Also my son’s doctor, Dr. Brown, came off as extremely impersonal. On multiple occasions she even referred to my son as “she” I had to correct her on that. I have no issues with the ladies at the front desk. They were always kind and welcoming. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt that my experience was important to share."
"I tried to schedule an appointment for a meet and greet since I’ll be having my baby soon and I’m currently looking for a pediatrician. The lady I spoke with didn’t seem like she wanted to talk to me and told me that they didn’t have any openings for a meet and greet. She said it’s only one Dr. here and that Dr. was busy. I would have been okay with even meeting an NP and checking out the office, but it didn't seem like she wanted to talk about it any further. Told her I had one kid now and the one coming soon so 2 patient's. Not the best customer service!"
"I’ve always had a good experience here. Even after 2 years I came home on vacation and needed to get my son in asap and they were able to help us quickly and efficiently and it’s just a nice environment to have your kids treated in."
