"Due to numerous surgeries of my own, my Husband and I know what to expect after any given procedure... Or so we thought! It was his turn this time and we are BEYOND impressed with the staff of Four Peaks Surgical Center! I was kept informed every step of the way when they took him back and I mean EVERY step! That's a first for us! Later, I kept calling my pharmacy to see if his scripts were ready for me to pick up. They see nothing for him.. I give it some time and still nothing... I call the office expecting to leave a message for them to follow up with on Monday since it was now Friday afternoon.. Not only did they answer immediately? The glitch was figured out, phoned in, followed up on and was ready for me to pick up an hour later! Their understanding and sense of urgency was both comforting and refreshing! Every single employee in every department that we encountered that day was friendly, compassionate, reassuring and dedicated.. Here is a group of people that really must like what they do and it shows! These days that's getting harder and harder to find.. This office and it's wonderful people will be recommended by my Husband and I to anyone and everyone!"
"It has been nearly 6 months and Four Peaks has not filed an insurance claim for $2,000 which caused me to overpay my annual insurance deductible! My wife suffered from multiple large kidney stones last September. Four Peaks required a prepayment of nearly $2,000 or they wouldn’t do my wife’s procedure. I discovered that Four Peaks did not file a claim with my insurance for the procedure so the $2,000 did not count towards my annual deductible. Four Peaks then had to do a follow-up procedure for which they did file a claim. I didn’t pre-pay that time as I had met my deductible by overpaying $2,000 for other medical expenses. This meant that Four Peaks got paid by my insurance for the second procedure but I didn’t get deductible credit for the first procedure. In short, I paid $2,000 out of pocket above my deductible because Four Peaks forced a prepayment and didn’t claim it. We’ve spoken to Four Peaks multiple times but have had no resolution to this and have considered engaging a lawyer. Be careful paying out of pocket with Four Peaks - you may not get credit for your payment and might have to overpay on your deductible!"
"I had a successful surgery recently from a great urogynocologist and had the best care from the nurses. However there were a few things this place could improve in. First, the clinic only offered a three month payment plan, the day before surgery. I was told just a month before, that a six month plan could be set up. I felt I was put on the spot that day. I managed to pay with 2 credit cards, and paid the amount after insurance in full. The reason being is that they wanted to withdraw on the account each month until it was paid and I did not want to give them permission to do that. I went on to the next day of surgery where I was very very happy with the nursing staff. Great care! I had a successful surgery and as soon as I was waking up, they could not wait to get me up and out of there. My husband was concerned I was going to fall because I kept going back to sleep. I do not remember leaving there much less going home. All I know is they had a tough time loafing me in the car because I was not awake enough to walk plus under anesthesia. When the nice nurse call the next day I expressed my concern with the way I was hurried out. I really hope this company changes their way with this method of care. I do realize its the company who controls what the workers do here. I do hope that if anyone has to have care at this facility to get to reconsider and use another place."
