"Don’t go here for detox. They are not equipped and leave you in a locked “safe” room for hours. No medication, bed, or water. Waited 2 hours after being told they didn’t have a bed for me. Then told transport to the ER would be there in 90 mins. It wasn’t. Was there for well over 5 hours before having to call an ambulance for myself. Trying to get help shouldn’t mean you don’t deserve human decency. If you can’t help then let them leave and find a place that can."
"Don't go here unless you want to be kidnapped. I came In looking for help and they told me their are no beds but I can't leave and I am being forced now to go somewhere else that i never even agreed to. It took a hell of a lot of courage for me to even walk through this door and now I feel like a prisoner that made a huge mistake. People aren't suppose to be treated like prisoners when their voluntarily seeking help. Copper springs really dropped the ball and let me down this time. I 100% will never come here again if I need help."
"My wife is currently a patient there. It's been a horrible experience. Dr Kramer denied her psch meds for 3 days and my wife only got worse. They have done nothing to help her get better. She's going ama tomorrow if they don't discharge her. She asked to transfer out so she get the treatment she needs and they denied her. I smell a lawsuit brewing! This place is pathetic. She also stayed in intake for almost 20 hours with only 2 meals and no meds sitting in a chair. These people have no compassion or understanding of mental illness and the help we desire. They should be shut down."
"I came to this location last night and the structure and staff were very unprofessional. I got there and went to the front and asked if I was at the right area for 24/7 intake and the staff stared at me blankly. I asked her again and she was confused. After I reiterated, she then shook her head and responded back with an attitude and no care. When the person I was with got a bit loud in volume when speaking to her (understandably we are in a mental health facility), the woman responded disrespectfully and defensively as if she was untrained how to respond in such matters. While we were waiting, I witnessed another staff member talk unprofessionally to a patient in a wheelchair. To my surprise, the staff member also motioned his body in a threatening way like he was going to hurt him, as if it was scare tactic. I was shocked but hoped these staff members were merely working in intake and were going to be nowhere near admitted patients on the units. We waited about 4 hours for an assessment that we did not receive. We were told we were next and waited 2 hours without being told any updates. Assessments are not supposed to take that long and within the time waited, we were deeply unimpressed and questioned if this was the correct place to come to. People go to mental health hospitals to be treated and cared for, which was not portrayed in our visit last night. The staff exhibited no compassion."
"Everyone is a work in progress & nobody is perfect. I would describe this place the same (not perfect). But if I learned anything from the amazing, incredible, thorough staff/team, nothing is perfect and that's okay. Everyone here did an incredible job from the cleaning team, dining hall team, PCAs, nurses, therapists, doctors, and uncredited heroes. Hindsight is 20/20. Although I am a fearful disorganized attachment, they did everything they could to make me feel safe. In the future, I would just have wished my stay was shorter, I had more autonomy over my intake, and there was more trust on all sides. Otherwise, I truly loved the knowledge, resources, and services they have provided."
