"I would never return to this clinic even as my life depends on it!!! The Dr saw me for 3 minutes, he took a walk around me as if looking over a car. He left the room for two very long hours while I lay in pain. At the end of the 2 hours his nurse got up to find out what was going on. I was told I was being discharged and I would receive a call to reschedule consultation. No call 1 week following 1st appointment so I called & left messages for a call back from any nurse & never received a call after 2 weeks. I contacted TMC patient advocate & was connected to front desk at pain clinic. I was given many excuses for being ignored and when I asked what the Dr recommended I was told to read it in My Chart online. Here's my recommendation to potential patients: If you want to be treated like a beat up car then this is the place for you & best of luck BUT if you prefer to be treated as a patient who needs a caring, compassionate Dr (and staff) then seek care elsewhere!!"
"There is reason the overall rating is under 4. After reading others responses about Dr. Baren all I can say is ditto!!!! My experience was congruent with those 1 star experience especially the bed side manners and sending you away with nothing! Dr. S I was hoping would rectify the situation, but he was worse. Didn’t have the decency to let a 100% disabled Vet know that that he canceled my authorization after I paid out of pocket for the visit. Which I should have been reimbursed for. The best thing that came out of this was I found Dr. Garrett and Pain Institute of S. AZ. Check out their reviews and make your decision!!!!"
"If I could give a rating of zero, I would. 1/24/2024 I am a patient at TMC Integrative Pain Center, Dr. Berens. I received a nerve block injection in my cervical spine in mid-December 2023. I was scheduled to receive a second injection on January 2, 2024. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30am. I got there at 10:15am. I stood in line for about 10 minutes. When I was able to check-in, I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because my insurance did not approve the procedure. I was then told that someone called me to tell me that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. I told the receptionist that no one had called me. When I checked my phone, I noticed I got a call from the clinic while I was standing in line to check-in. I let the receptionist know this. She acted very indifferent. I was rescheduled for a month out. I asked the receptionist to please see if I could come in sooner because I am experiencing very bad pain. She told me that she would call me if there was a cancellation. I was scheduled for January 24, 2024, On January 22, 2024, I received a call from the clinic staff. I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because my insurance did not approve the procedure. When I asked why, the receptionist would not answer the question. I called my insurance company to inquire about why they keep denying the claim. I was told that the doctor’s note is improperly written and does not substantiate the procedure. I called the clinic back. I was told that the doctor’s note mentions the issue with my cervical spine but then goes on to give some information about my lumbar spine. I pleaded with the receptionist to please have the doctor correct the note and resubmit the claim. I also asked her why it was not corrected at the first denial, and why they would resubmit the same information without the necessary corrections. The receptionist would not answer my question. I went to the clinic today, 1/24/2024, for a different appointment. My appointment was at 9:30am. I arrived at 9:30am and was told that I needed to reschedule because I was late. The receptionist told me that if I am not 15 minutes early, then I am late. When I asked the receptionist to show me this in a written policy, she provided a policy that states, “Patients arriving after their scheduled check-in time will be rescheduled at the discretion of the provider and clinical staff.” I explained to the receptionist that my scheduled check-in time is 9:30am, the time of my scheduled appointment. The receptionist made no comment. So, I had to reschedule this appointment. Then, I had to reschedule for the injection. My new date is February 26, 2024. When the receptionist told me this, I began crying because I must wait another month and endure excruciating neck pain due to the clinic’s error. After I walked away from the window, another patient of the doctor I was going to see for my injection pulled me to the side just outside the door. She stated that the clinic wrote the same exact erroneous doctor’s note for her cervical spine injection. She stated she waited three weeks after her insurance denied the procedure before she was able to get her injection. She stated she too has excruciating pain that was exacerbated by the clinic’s error. This office has shown itself to be incompetent and unclear in its policies."
"I'm so glad I found this clinic! They do pain management procedures and meds. The staff is terrific. They take care of my referrals & authorizations very quickly, and the after-care is very compassionate and professional. My doctors (Dr. Siddiqui and Dr. Abraham) are very knowledgeable and experienced, and they take the time to listen to me and explain things to me simply and thoroughly."
"After a severe auto accident in April this year I was left with many broken bones, an amputation and more pain than I've ever known! Ashley was the best! She took into account the medical issues I was dealing with already and the fact that my mobility and quality of life was drastically reduced. All the staff were kind and professional with a great sense of humor too! I would suggest to anyone coming to be honest about your lifestyle and your medical condition!"
