"I’d like to share a disclaimer before my long post; NOT ONCE, has any staff member asked for a review. —— I have been seeing Abby for about half a year. This entire office and staff are absolutely wonderful. I turned to this center at one of hardest times in my life (not knowing it would be) and I can’t imagine not having their support throughout it at all. They are easy to work with, and are very organized. They return calls, text messages, and actually get back to you. They make sure your their appointments fit into personal busy schedules. The front office staff has always been very kind and friendly. As for my therapist, Abby, I don’t know that words do justice. She is someone who often times make you forget she’s even a therapist. She goes above, and beyond in making somebody feel heard, respected, and simply “human”. One of the things I’ve always kept in mind about her is the fact that she remembers SO much about me. I understand they take clinical notes, and of course, document the session, but I have never seen her, reflect back to her notes, review them, or even have them out during a session. She truly listens and stays engaged throughout your entire session. My biggest concern prior to seeing her, was feeling judged, or feeling like my problems “weren’t that important” compared to the worlds... She has never made me feel anything other than validated, and heard. The second biggest challenge is coming in with the perspective of a nursing student. I know about the “assessments”, the “scales”, the “psychology” etc. But even then, Abby has challenged my thoughts and feelings, every single session. I walk away speechless most times……. She not only challenges my thoughts but also guides me to make connections I never thought about. She also takes a step further and gives me small tools at a time in order to effectively practice re-routing. The impact Abby has made in just a few months goes beyond words I could leave in a review. I hope anyone seeking help, gets somebody like Abby."
"Update #2: after blocking 5 numbers tonight, another number just called and this time left a voicemail asking me to call them back to address this review. This is obviously not how normal counseling centers run. When I ran my own business I would 100% never hyper-focus and continuously call someone from multiple numbers at 9:15pm. Update: Since posting this review I’ve gotten several calls for Utah. Tonight has been 6 calls. This started to occur after I blocked the number that kept texting me about this. These people will find your number online and text you. As a mental health professional my (free) advice is NEVER seek services from ambulance chasers. If they were good, they wouldn’t have to engage in this type of behavior."
"Clarissa Nielsen is one of the best youth mentors you guys have. She was a great friend to me for a very long time. I hope she has had a chance or has been given the chance to read you the letter of recommendation that she received from me a little while back as it shows her character, but please ask her if we are still dancing together and why. I'm sure the answer will surprise you :)"
"Our 30-year old son has been a Crimson client for almost 2 years. He had recently moved from a group residential living situation to an independent living situation. Crimson helps him organize the additional responsibilities that come with independent living as well as providing therapeutic support and social understanding. The staff was very persevering in building the trust, working relationship and communication with him as transitions of all types can be very challenging. Crimson staff always maintains an appropriate adult relationship by setting boundaries and interacting adult to adult. He has acclimated to the Crimson format and schedule and is able to manage his life while enjoying fulfilling activities of his choosing as well as managing his response to life’s curve balls. We have seen progress in his ability to have perspective on things he was less comfortable with such that he can accept and learn from them, then move forward. We have appreciated his therapists, the functional skills supervisors he has worked with as well as Andi for providing additional assistance in helping with his acclimation. Our son, who has a keen sense of feelings from others toward him, has expressed that he feels the staff and Andi genuinely care about the people in the program. This has not always been the case in past programs and so is a very important component of the Crimson program for both our son and us."
"My son has been attending Crimson Counceling for about 2 years. He has had his ups and downs. Andi and the wonderful team there have helped us so much. The kind staff has helped my son overcome some stressors and have taught him new skills. My son has a great connection with his therapist. Crimson Counceling has been a great support throughout our Autism journey. I would highly recommend them."
