"Maybe I have been lucky, but I have always had a good experience at PCH Urgent Care. Yes, we have had to wait sometime to see a doctor but not an unreasonable amount. The nurses there are great and took amazing care of my daughter. We have had 3 visits in the past month. Front desk has always been prompt and knowledgeable, nursing and medical assistants have always been kind and helpful, and the doctors who treated were thorough, even if I had to wait a little while. Overall good experience."
"Took my son in for a possible broken thumb. They were less than professional, and rude once we informed them we had our own ortho doc. They also screwed up the billing. We were supposed to pay $250, they billed my debit card $275 and today I received a bill from them for $35 stating I only paid $215. The service is piss poor, the attitudes are rude, they can’t do simple math, and it took three hours. Horrible display on this visit PCH. You lost us. Never again."
"Took my daughter here a couple nights ago when she had a bad cough and sounding like she was having trouble breathing. She was seen my Dr. Anita Bharath and she spent a lot of time with us and treated her with a steroid and sent us home with an albuterol inhaler. Now 3 days later she is back to feeling 100%. I'm so grateful to have a place to go at night when it seems all of the illnesses begin. Wait time was 5 minutes. Everyone from front desk to nurses were very helpful!"
"The front desk staff and nurses were great! The resident was also very nice, but I was put off by Dr. Mallis bedside manner. We were in with our son (2yr) for an ear infection and my daughter (4mo) for an ear infection. When he came in to see my daughter, I was nursing her and he was so overly awkward and said he would come back when I was done. I found that to be very odd behavior as he is a pediatrician and should know that it is natural to nurse babies. He was also not very gentle when looking at her ears. As others have said, I felt like he was annoyed we were there and he seemed to want to be out of the room as fast as possible, even though we were the only people in there with my son."
"Front office Clerk/nurse became political as if I cared or even would agree with her politics, as it was around October/November. That was a major put off from walking in the door. Once finally back (after A 20-30 min wait in what appeared to be a very quiet and empty office, although i don’t know who was in before we arrived, or who was still there while we went back, before we left). The physician on staff, Dr Mallis, seemed annoyed to even have to be there, and appeared to be in a rush. We received poor care and instructions, it wasn’t until I was able to see my pediatrician was I given a more accurate account of the issue and remedy. I had been sent home with little guidance when child had 104 at 9 months old. Reluctantly, I returned a few months later due to an eye infection -that was obvious to me not to be - pink eye. Dr Mallis did a poor exam, he hardly looked at my daughter other than into her orifices only to do the basics, almost ignoring the blatent symptoms in conjunction with my answers to his questions and information I provided. Returned within 24 hours due to his misdiagnosis and was met with same negative attitude. Had to point out to physician the symptoms were NOT pink eye, but cellulitis. Was reluctantly given a different eye drop Rx but this did remedy the issue. I wouldn’t recommend PCH-Shea. Try Banner, or the ED."
