"Our family went in to Mattress Firm with lots of questions. We were so impressed with how well Ken Ruch not only answered our questions, but that he also demonstrated his answers as he had us each try different mattresses and the different bases available. We’re extremely grateful for his willingness to share his insights and knowledge. Yes, we did purchase two bed sets!"
"Jason at the Goodyear location was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! He knows all there is to know about mattresses, and had a great sense of humor which made the process fun! I highly recommend Jason if you need help finding the perfect mattress."
"Outstanding customer service! RJ took his time to show me all the different types of mattresses and went into detail regarding the benefits of each. When I finally had made my decision to purchase, I felt confident I had made the best choice with all of the information RJ had provided along the way. I would HIGHLY Recommend!"
"Went in for a warranty exchange. The sales guy was so nice and personable. After deciding on a mattress he struggled to find my account in their new system and he asked the store manager for assistance. I noticed the store manager's tone was harsh and kind of unpleasant. He mentioned today was his "Monday" so I thought maybe he was just having an off day. I can understand it happens to everyone but it becomes unacceptable when it leaks into the workplace and especially with a customer. My attention wasn't directed to the store manager but to the "sleep expert" assisting me with my exchange\upgrade. Again, to be clear my issue is not with the "sleep expert" but rather, with the store manager. In conversation with the "sleep expert", we mentioned we stopped at the Buckeye store but decided to go to Goodyear because the staff in Buckeye was quite pushy. Friendly but pushy. They also were not familiar with the exchange process. It was my impression they just want to sell products to make money\commission and not deal with the customer service end of it. I felt pushed into buying a $3k+ priced bed in Buckeye. I politely declined and excused myself and we drove to the Goodyear store in hopes of encountering a better experience. The store manager, while engaging in conversation another guest stopped his conversation with her (he was getting her contact info) and inserted himself and said "You'd be surprised how many people will drop $15,000 on a bed in Buckeye!". I smiled and said "I could if I really wanted to but I have other priorities with my money." He scoffed, mumbled something under his breath and we continued our cheery conversation with the other associate. From that point on, I felt very uncomfortable in the store because his tone was frightening. He strikes me as the type of person with a severe anger issue not to mention he isn't very polite. I redirected my focus to the "Sleep Expert" and I decided to look at the Mattress Firm website while he entered what he needed to in his system. I mentioned to the "sleep expert" I noticed the prices were way different than the prices in store. My thought was perhaps they had higher end products in the store and offered better deals online and the manager rudely and passive aggressively inserted himself AGAIN and said "Well, if you're looking for a cheap bed, you can look at these..." and he pointed to the discounted mattresses against the wall. It wasn't so much what he said but the manner and tone in which he said it! (((I wasn't even talking to him!!))) He went on to say I should "buy in store because it would be a smoother transaction than buying online" and they wouldn't "guarantee the transaction would go correctly online." I told him that didn't make any sense because I buy stuff online all the time without issue and that I wasn't looking for a "cheap bed" and I felt insulted because that wasn't the first time he inserted himself so rudely. Obviously, he was not listened to or validated as a child because he likes to hear himself speak and insert himself where he isn't invited. He has no manners and his behavior suggests he isn't willing to ever be wrong. I got up and began to walk out and said I felt the corporate office should know about his unprofessional behavior. His snarky reply was "I really hope they do!". Needless to say, I've contacted the corporate office and the district manager. I felt so bad for the "Sleep Expert" assisting me after this indignant 'Store Manager' derailed his sale. Not only was the associate clearly embarrassed by his coworkers nasty, unprofessional behavior, he lost out on the commission. I will NOT EVER step foot in ANY mattress firm while this person is employed there. NO ONE deserves to be treated this way!! ***On a side note, my plan for later this year is to furnish 2 Airbnb properties I own with new beds. I planned on purchasing from Mattress Firm because I've purchased from them for years. After this experience, I'm shopping somewhere else."
"I stopped in quickly on a Friday evening, met Jason “a good looking English guy”. Told him I did not have much time, he answered my questions and I told him I would be back on Saturday. I came back on Saturday (today), Jason was at another store, but Ken Ruch was there to assist. He did a great job putting my husband at ease and finding the right mattress and frame for our purchase. Enjoyable experience! Looking forward to our delivery tomorrow!"
