Four Points by Sheraton Tucson Airport

"Headline - "What a dump!?" I am a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium member. A few positives - the location is very close to the airport. The rooms were recently renovated. Beside those points, this property ranks in the bottom 5% of hotels I've stayed in around the USA and the rest of the world. I did a mobile check-in but went to the desk for a property map to find my room and to get a hard key since mobile keys aren't always the most reliable. The front desk representative lacked energy and enthusiasm. It seemed as if she did not want to be at work that day. On the way to the room I was disappointed with the poor landscaping of the grounds - dead grass, dead plants, weeds, etc. The exterior of the buildings on the property are outdated and shabby. As mentioned, the room was recently renovated, which was a bright spot. I dropped my bags and left. I returned later and as the night went on, I started to discover things that prompted concern. Based on the objects on it(like a make up pencil sharpener), it was clear the carpet had not been vacuumed. The telephone in the room did not work. There was coffee but no cups next to the coffee maker or in the bathroom. The tiny bathroom wasn't clean either since I found long blond hair on the ledge of the tub (I don't have long or blonde hair). When I turned on the TV the message was "Welcome Elliott - Gold Elite". I am neither. I used my phone to call the desk - the response was it takes 24 hours for the personalized greeting to change. After three nights there and upon check-out there was still no change. The restaurant was not great. I had a simple chicken sandwich one night and it the chicken was cold. There is an omelet station available during breakfast, which was good. The fitness center is decent but the wipes for sanitizing the equipment were dried out and unusable. There was no water in the water dispenser. Hotels in the area were sold out during my time there, otherwise I would have checked out and into a different property."

"I have been staying at Marriott hotels for 15 years, and once in awhile I come across one that is not up to par. This is one location that does not live up to the Marriott title. 1st time I stayed here last year, the TV didn't work and the shower would not drain...gross. I gave this hotel another try last week and once again, the shower would not drain along with the phone not working. I had already reserved another room for my return trip and was dreading it. Sure enough, this room had the bathroom faucet barely working. It trickled water at best. I doubt I'll stay here again. For $200 a night, I expect way better. This hotel needs a major renovation!!"

"Not recommended. I’m a Marriott elite member and usually very happy with their hotels. Room had numerous problems. Wrote a note to the manager and nothing was addressed. Insufficient lighting and electrical outlets. Room was dingy. Cramped bathroom. Dresser drawer falls out when opened. Hallway carpet dirty and stained. Window and sill filthy. Bed was comfortable though. Breakfast was pretty good. From desk staff was given a list of issues that went unresolved. Staff was indifferent."

"I have been to this location twice and I have never had a problem or issue. It is dated and older, but I am fine with that. It's always been an enjoyable stay. The lobby: Clean, well lit and welcoming. The front desk staff was warm and polite and check in was a breeze. The room: I thought it was cute. It was very clean. The bed was clean too. I'm afraid of bugs so I tend to take apart the bed/ sheets and make sure things look OK. The bathroom was a little on the small side- the shower had great shower pressure and was also very clean. I liked the decor. The room was a little too dim for me but I was on the first floor and didn't want to open the curtains because anyone who would walk by could have an open view. However that would have solved the dim lighting. The walls were a little thin and I could hear mumbled conversation but I had good quiet neighbors. Safety: I didn't feel unsafe in the parking lot but I thought it could have had brighter lights? My room was in south wing (back part of hotel) and there was no transients or people hanging out in the parking lot, so I was happy about that. The stairwells were dimly lit too. The staff: Staff was all very nice. I requested towels and housekeeping was fast in bringing them to me. I thought because of the restaurant, I would be able to get a plate and silverware but the chef apparently said no. However Hilbert was apologetic and brought me plastic utensils and a leftover food box and I felt he tried so it didn't bother me. I would stay here again."

"Just had a 3 night stay here. We were a little disappointed in a couple of things. The rooms have super "thin" walls, you can hear everything someone is saying in their rooms. The door to the room was so tight that you had jerk open or slam to shut. I am sure our "neighbors" loved to hear that. Couldn't lock the dead bolt because the door was off. The closet door was the same, could not shut it. Door to our hallway was broken. The key reader was gone, wires hanging out of the door. Not secure down our hallway. The hot tub was not working, one of the reasons we chose to stay here was to be able to use it. Ice machines not working, but they would get you some from the restaurant. No free continental breakfast. But they have a nice dining room/ cozy bar. We knew we would not stay here again. The only reason we would reconsider would be because of the amazing staff! The front desk was maned by an awesome person. Anything we needed or asked about, she helped us at a moments notice. The transportation gentleman that provided service from the airport and to and from a restaurant last night was super helpful. Property just needs some attention. You can tell the employees are trying their best to make it enjoyable."
