Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall, an IHG Hotel

"Good afternoon, On January 01/2024, My daughter Laseas, a multicultural 17 year old teenage girl, was staying at this hotel with her, at that time, friend and her friends grandmother, she left the presence of the people she was traveling with because the grandparent started abusing her so that she could drink, my child is not use to being hit, so she went to the lobby and was crying. Laseas was in need of assistance and safety, what she received was the cops called, handcuffs and booked as a runaway, which she was not running when she was arrested in the lobby, a scared teenage girl, who had not caused harm of any kind, who just needed assistance no staff member asked her anything at all, just proceeded to call the cops on a young girl crying in their lobby! This is not how any children should ever be treated!!"

"Room was not clean. The bed was full of hairs. They probably didn't even change the sheets. AC reeked like urine so we had to turn it off so the room was extremely hot. Very uncomfortable stay. Bathroom was barely cleaned and had mold. Breakfast buffet was very limited, food was cold and the lady in charge was upset and very rude to us. Will never stay here again."

"Good hotel in a great spot with lots of walkable things like Starbucks nearby. Building and parking lot in good repair as well as overall hotel. Staff is very friendly and room overall is nice. There’s some wear and tear on the room and the elevator needs to be serviced but overall great hotel. Sale price from the IHG app should be actual room price however it’s a worthwhile hotel to stay at nonetheless."

"If I could give this hotel a negative rating, I would. Our first morning, my wife went to use the wall-mounted hair dryer and had a cockroach fly out and into the sink. The bathroom floors were cracked and seemed to have dampness underneath. The second night, my wife went into the bathroom and saw two (dead??) cockroaches in the bathroom overhead light. In the morning, we complained to the front desk person. We returned in the late afternoon and found a small bag on the door handle with a note and a couple of snacks. I started to read the note but did not finish reading it. It seemed to be a poor attempt at an apology. We went down to the front desk and complained. The clerk found us a different room and apologized. We moved to the other room but were disappointed with the room (cracked tile in the bathroom that was "squishy" and the toilet was not level]. Back to the front desk and said the new room was not acceptable. The clerk found another room and again me moved all of our stuff to yet another room. During the night, my wife went to the bathroom and saw a small/young cockroach crawl across the floor. We killed it and kept the evidence. Again, the tile in the bathroom was cracked and seemed wet. In the morning, we decided to cancel our next night and checked out. After we returned home, I finally read the note, and we were supposed to be given an upgrade to a different room, but apparently, nobody told the people at the front desk."

I was thoroughly impressed throughout my entire experience and have no hesitation in recommending the Holiday Inn Express to anyone seeking a top-notch accommodation.
