Maverik Adventure's First Stop 784 West Wickenburg Way, Wickenburg, AZ 85390

"2024: Its been 4 years, this is the busiest gas station in town. Some of it isnt the fault of the store, but people come in to get gas at this tiny location with 40 foot trailers still attached and hanging off into the street waiting to fill up at the pump. On the other side they'll block off every car thats parked in front of the building. 1/2 the pumps always have problems. One of the diesel pumps doesnt stop filling and often continues to pump it out all over the ground. Receipt feeders out of paper, cards broken off in the card reader. The screen with speaker until they all broke, was so f'n loud and annoying you have to get back in your vehicle to avoid being driven insane. Inside the cups are often not stocked for the fountain drinks, no hot dog buns or no dogs, if there are any they're burnt. It seems like they could use 1 more staff member. Being busy is a blessing for the owner but a total drag for a customer that has to go almost daily to get gas. 2020: Maverick ruined the gas price monopoly thats been cursing Wickenburg for decades. There's no reason for gas to be $.25 more a gallon than it is in Surprise. On the inside, they have the normal fare of drinks and snacks. The little kitchen they have there though, cranks out some good food. There arent that many places to eat in this town, so you get tired of eating the same old thing. Their steak for nachos/tacos is way better than taco bell and filibertos and it costs less to eat here than it does at the other two places. One small gripe that gave you no stars off - The XL foam fountain drink cups are always out and i have to ask someone to restock them. Maybe get rid of 2 rows of the plastic ones or something else thats not used and have more available :D"

"They have clean bathrooms whenever I come in & I can actually wash my windshield, because they replenish the fluid & wipers unlike other places who might let it sit dry for a few days. The staff is usually pretty nice, too."

"Nice gas station, clean but it is new so obviously clean. Prices are always lowest but they are just doing that to run a couple other gas stations out of business then they will raise the price. That's America. Wickenburg gas station has free air , so you can't beat that. But I do like maverick gas stations overall!"
