"Great mechanic with reasonable prices. Been going to him for a few years now and I've had nothing but great experiences. Highly recommend."
"Once again, JP exemplified his incredible knowledge/experience/competence and know how! Another shop had my vehicle for over 8 days, and essentially bumbled, was never able to complete the repair of changing a transmission cooling line on my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Totally, my grave error in, for the sake of a shop closer to my home, thinking I could get the incredible service and competence I have experienced with JP in maintaining my 1989 Toyota, 1994 Jeep and 2014 Honda, and will in all likelihood my 2021 Hyundai when the time comes. You could NEVER go wrong with this man! As I mentioned in my original review 12+ years ago, he is one of the last honest, competent, and reasonable mechanic/shop left in this world."
"John at JP auto is a great mechanic I bring all my cars there he takes care of them never have a problem with him great job guys at JP auto"
"John is pretty good to me. I've not had a problem with my car that he couldn't fix plus he tells me other issues he noticed but he doesn't pressure me into fixing them immediately. I get the impression he has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing."
"I had the worst experience with John the owner of JP Automotive. I asked for a diagnostic on my A/C on Friday 5/19/2017, I told him it was blowing only hot air, without inspecting the vehicle he assumed it's just the freon and it needed to be recharged he then proceeds to recharge my vehicle thereafter he tells me that I needed and new coolant fan and quoted me $189.00 for the fan and said that I have to pay him $110.00 for the recharge. As a certified mechanic he should of known that my coolant fan was not working and that it made no sense to recharge my A/C knowing that it would make no difference on the working condition of my A /C. I became upset and told him that he needed to better communicate with his customer prior to doing any work on it...as he had just had a previous encounter with another customer that had just came into his shop to pick up his car, took the bus there in a 95 degree weather for him to tell him that something else came up with his car and to come back the next day! I told him this is no way to do business, I sat in his shop for two hours he walked back and forth and asked him what's the deal? What is it? Did you get a diagnostic? He brushed me off saying "not done yet" after paying the $110.00 he gave me an estimate in writing of $389.00 to install the fan, I disagreed as while in his shop I googled the fan and it cost $79.00 with a 3 year warranty yet he was charging me $189.00 And no warranty. He then said; " bring it back and I will only charge you the $189.00 for the part and I will waive the labor fee to which I agreed as my car was already dismantled and at his shop. John gave me that in writing and hand written stated "no labor charge". It's now Monday, I leave my car there for the fan to be installed, he tells me it will be ready in one hour and he would call me when ready, 2 1/2 hours later I had to call for an update, he now tells me it's the radiator and I needed a new radiator this time he quoted me approximately $150.00 + labor as it was later than 6pm and he said was unable to give me the exact price for the radiator. Tuesday he calls me at approximately 10am and quoted me A total of $550.00 for the fan, radiator and labor no warranty on the parts just the labor..I said absolutely not it's too much $ That I could not afford to pay. John gave me the option to buy it elsewhere to save some money he said he will charge me $250.00 if I bought the radiator which I did, I purchased it brand new with a lifetime warranty for $89.00 brought it in and now his rate changed to $350.00, I tried to explained to him that he had quoted me $250.00 if I bought the radiator and antifreeze he began screaming and yelling at me and said you can take your car now if you want I said ok, he refused to put my car back together he said to just drive it out of his shop. I asked him to please put the old fan as it was and he refused he placed it in the back of my car all this while everything was hanging out of the hood. This man has no sense of anything he is doing customers lost time is not a concern to him he has no sense of prices, or anything that he says, his word means nothing ... he has no customer service, he should not be running a business. Please do not make the same mistake I did, do not take your vehicles to JP Automotive he takes on more work than what he can complete. He runs all over the place and accomplishes nothing. He over charges and last minute he gives you a different price, he's extremly argumentative and doesn't allow you to speak, I most definitely DO NOT recommend nor will ever recommend this business to anyone."
