"I bought new carpet through Carpet One which was installed one month ago (4/21). My disappointment was first realized to when I reached out to my salesperson after placing my order via phone and 2 emails and never heard back from her. She got my money, she was done with customer service, I guess. My next disappointment was the day of installation, the fumes from the carpet glue were so strong that I had to go outside in the heat with my 2 dogs and wait until it was bearable to go back inside. I've had new carpet installed before, but I haven't been there during the install. I wish I was given some kind of warning about the toxic fumes and needing to make plans to leave the house. And finally, after having my carpet for 1 month and 2 days, $6k later, it already has wear patterns. It already looks dirty, and vacuuming doesn't fix it. I DO NOT wear shoes on my carpet, EVER. I asked my salesperson over and over if the light colored carpet would hold up to me and my 2 dogs. I asked about putting my order on hold after I placed it because I was concerned about the light color. The carpet had already shipped so it was too late, and she assured me it was going to be great. I have never had carpet this light before. She assured me no problem. Only one month in and it's clearly a problem if I can see the wear patterns, discoloration - dirt. I'm going to have to shampoo this carpet monthly, it's going to break down the fibers and ruin the quality in no time. I can't believe I spent $6,000 for carpet that looks worn and dirty after 1 month. You live and you learn I guess. Update - they replaced my carpet per their Beautiful Guarantee. Some manufacturers were excluded with the replacement. I am happy with the replacement carpet after having it for about a year."
