"Went to Marlayna just to have my roots touched up. I have blonde hair and my roots had grown out after 5 weeks. Basically just wanted to chase away that dark stripe on top of my head. Instead, I ended up with roots that were DARKER than when I arrived. Spoke to the woman back home who has been coloring my hair for almost 18 years and she said Marlayna had used way too dark a blonde for my base color. Nothing I could do...you can't put a lighter tint on a tint. Have to wait for it to grow out. All I could do at this point was to have highlights with bleach to break it up. Not at all what I wanted. Just went in for an easy touch up and ended up leaving with this awful brown hair color on my scalp. Cried when I got to my car. I wouldn't have felt as awful if she had just apologized and said how sorry she was for choosing too dark a base color for me. For a stylist that the salon claimed was a color specialist with over 12 years experience this never should have happened."
