"On Monday, I went in for my 3:30 appointment at Sheer Vanity. Monique had just gotten my hair washed and was just starting to towel dry it when a man showed up at her door. She said "oh I overbooked today," and I need to stop your perm and give him a haircut, You can sit out in the other room. I sat outside her room for 45 minutes!! While my wet hair soaked the back of my shirt. As she cut his hair, they visited about his new dog , dog behavior classes, etc . They talked about old times, about family, because he was her son's godfather. After his hair was done, they continued to visit as he proceeded to sweep up her floor before he left. It was late almost 5pm, as the other girls finished up and left.. We were alone when Monique got done at 6:30 pm. My last perm from her was $65. last March. I had saved the $65. cash for this one.. Then, she said, "Today's perm is $95.!" We had been texting to make the appointment, and I had sent her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like. It was a body wave instead of a curly, but my hair was the same length as the other perm. She never mentioned in the text that it would be $30. more. Their website says perms are $55.? I was so embarrassed, so I told Monique I would need to use my charge card.. She said they don't do cards, but there was a bank across the street that I could go get money out. I went to the bank and got more cash to pay her. I had even brought her a homemade knitted hat that I sell for $20. For her tip. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I felt like I paid for his haircut and wasted time spent waiting. I'm so disappointed with this salon. Definitely not a way to treat a customer."
