"I rarely write negative reviews but Tuscon Subaru deserves this review. They are nice enough people but, after my recent experience with their service department, I will never go back to this dealership again. I have a 2013 Outback that had a check engine light. I took it in and paid for a diagnostic check. They told me that I needed a new catalytic converter and O2 sensors. The dealership prices to replace these items are pretty high, which I understand and have no problem with higher rates at a dealership, but when I took it to a different repair shop (Primarily Japanese, who I highly recommend), they told me that the catalytic converter and O2 sensors were just fine. It appears that the dealership just read the OBD codes and didn't actually test anything. They wanted to charge me over $3000 to fix things that weren't actually broken. I can't understand how the dealership didn't do anything more than read the OBD codes. I called my service manager to let him know what I found out. I just wanted to share this feedback in a positive way so they could maybe not let this happen to others. I was hoping the service manager would call me and ask for more info and offer to refund my diagnostic fee but I never heard from them. It made me fell like they didn't really care. I was going to buy a new car from them but I'm never going back to this dealership again."
"I thought the service at Tucson Subaru was good, but they missed a major problem with my suspension on multiple visits, even after I specifically asked them to check it. I finally lifted the vehicle myself and was able to diagnose the problem within 5 minutes (I'm not a professional mechanic, but a shot bushing is pretty easy to notice). If Tucson Subaru had done their job initially, the repair would have been covered under warranty. When I asked if there was anything they could do for me given the history of my service requests all I got was crickets. The multi-point inspection is apparently worthless if they can't even find a loose wheel when performing an alignment. Save yourself some time and aggravation and take your car to one of the local alternatives for Subaru service, like Import Service center."
"Wait time was unacceptable, and the service report/recommendations were untruthful. I scheduled a service appointment ahead of time for just an oil and filter change. Arrived at 10:27, car wasn't checked in until 10:42 and car wasn't ready for almost 2 hours. I specifically checked no for the tire rotation online. However, the service tech, Darian, tried to slip it into the service order. The tire tread was checked, and the service report states that tire pressure was set to 35 PSI. After leaving the Subaru dealer, I went directly to Discount Tire for my free tire rotation and balancing. There, the tires were checked and only had 25-26 psi each, which we had suspected were low all along. The Subaru tech recommended we change out the cabin and engine air filters. The engine filter was almost brand new as my husband had just recently changed it. When we got home, my husband checked both filters and only had to change the cabin filter. Prices for these filters were quoted $65 for the cabin filter (versus $21.99 at Napa) and $45 for the engine filter (versus $23.99), which absolutely did not need changed. I hope the techs actually checked the engine fluids, but after finding these two blatant problems with the service, I'm not sure I can trust the remainder of the status report I was given."
"Garrett and Juan were terrific. Service was swift AND they got me in the same day thanks to the gal I spoke with on the phone. Would recommend!!"
"No one likes waiting for car service but Subaru does a pretty good job of offering nice, clean areas to sit in and providing a wide selection of teas and coffee. The service folks were professional and I’ve posted their pictures here. My only complaint is they need to add more folks to the desk providing loaner cars. I dropped my car at 9:30 and didn’t drive out until 10:15."
