"Buckle up, cause I’ve got a story for you.. I have a truck that was in need of a new set of tires and an alignment. My usual tire guys are Tires 2 Go off Dobson and southern and recommend them to anyone and everyone. They by far have the best prices and the quickest turn around and are pridefully owned by a small family who gives a damn about above and beyond customer service. With that said I saw the commercial for Big O having a sale, but 3 get one free on all cooper brand tires. So I called for a quote for my desired size and alignment. I also usually use Firestone for my alignment because I use my truck for 4X4 and camping and towing, and they offer a lifetime alignment for around $180 as long as you own the vehicle. So my price between the exact tires I wanted from my tire guys were $1008 out the door mounted balanced and with 60K mile warranty and then the $180 for a lifetime alignment through Firestone. Looking at roughly $1200 and done. Big O quoted me with an alignment for 5 years, $1010 out the door for the same exact tires and alignment. I figured I could save time and hassle of driving to two separate places for each service and give Big O a chance to redeem themselves from the other times I’ve been severely dissatisfied with them while saving almost $200. So when I went in in the morning to double check everything we discussed in the phone, it turned out my Cooper discovery AT/3’s were not part of the Cooper brand sale and they just ordered me the lower rated street/passenger tires the HT/3’s which I am NOT a fan of and not willing to put in my truck. So I tell them I don’t want to make a deal on tires I didn’t order and tried to back out. So he makes some phone calls to his upper management and sees what he can do and gets me closer to my original price point but not including taxes and shop fees so now I’m looking at $1500 again and I told them I’m not willing to do that and that they’ve wasted my time as I could’ve just gone through my original plan. Anyway to cut that story short, they were able to get me out the door with the correct tires I wanted for now $1177. And that’s still less than my original plan and i would only have to make the one stop for all of it. I agreed and ran my debit card, but now the tires won’t be in until “around noon today.” So I still agree but it absolutely changed my plans last minute for what I needed to get done that day. I head home and wait until nearly 1:00 and finally call them to see if my tires were delivered. They said yes the were delivered. Okay, so why wasn’t I called at noon, when they came in? Oh well. I head that way and then they call me back to tell me my tires just came in but it’s a different caller, and I told them I already called about my tires and they already told me they were in and that I was on my way. Didn’t make a deal out of it, just brushed it off as I didn’t truly know what time they were delivered at. (Side note: at no point have I been rude or disrespectful in any way with my communication between the front desk or shop mechanics.) So I get to the shop and they don’t touch my truck for almost 2 hours. I’m annoyed with that because I’ve already wasted so much of my day and changed so many of my plans, but noticed several other people that were sitting down in the waiting areas that had been there for much longer than I have and are outspokenly just as annoyed with their over promised wait times as well. So again, I brush it off, and let everyone just do their own thing at their own pace and don’t make a big deal out of it, since I am clearly not alone in the waiting room. Running out of room for this story so I’ll cut straight to the chase: they take an hour and a half longer than promised and messed up EVERY SWITCH IN MY TRUCK. Turned lights all off, changed my clock, turned my door lights off ETC. everything was tampered with in a petty manner and idk why. At zero points in my interactions did I feel like I had done anything to upset or disrespect any employee at this location. Really wanted to give 5 stars until I drove thetruckhome"
"I typically buy my tires from Big O as they seem to have what I want in stock and oooookay prices. However, when purchasing 2000.00 in tires about a year ago, they broke a wheel stud and tried to charge me 250.00 to fix it. Something THEY broke. We did not have them fix it, that is a ridiculous price for something they damaged. Fast forward to today 3/14/24; took the truck in for the same tires to be rotated and balanced. Conveniently, TWO studs "broke" this time. Wanted $500.00 to fix. HOW is this something charged to the customer? Seems like a total SCAM or your "mechanics" don't know how to operate an impact. I left the shop with two broken studs. Big O is NOT getting any more of my money. I have bought all my tires from Big O - two trucks, two trailers.. all with Big O tires. So much money spent there over the years. It's a shame that they cant stand by their workmanship. Do better, Big O. Do better."
"I started with a oil change but they found my back tires were so unsafe. I didn't realize this after purchasing this car. They were so detailed about things they did discovered. Samuel was awesome !! So was the guys in front. The tires had to be ordered but they got a Lyft ride for me and had the tires on by the end of the day!! Perfect costumer service!!"
"We had a blowout on the freeway and had to have our car towed to the nearest tire shop. Dwane answered when I called to check if they had the tires we needed and he got us right in and out on the same day. Thank you so much, would definitely recommend!"
"Unprofessional and Incompetent. Showed up with a flat tire hoping to get an assessment on whether it could be repaired. I left my car there 3 hours later they called and mentioned that it was a valve issue and not a puncture. They mentioned it was fixed and ready for pickup. When I arrived and after waiting in line, i went to retrieve my car and the tire was still flat. I was confused so I went back in ,waited in line again to ask them what happened. After another 10 minutes of checking on it we determine that the information they called me with was inaccurate because they couldn't understand the technician who didn't speak English. And apparently it wasn't a valve issue but in fact a flat tire. By this time the whole day was lost so I couldn't order a tire for that day to have it fixed, nor did they have the tires in stock. They also mentioned that the tire was unreparable as it was too close to the side wall. I was able to put air in the tire and go to discount tire, in which they got my car in in less than 30 minutes and repaired the tire no problem, and off I went. I'm not sure if it was their purpose to mislead me into buying new tires instead of repair or not, but overall poor experience."
