"I'm disappointed this visit. Even placing my order at 7:15 I'm told they close soon. I asked don't you close at 8pm? He responds yes. I reply "so we have time to eat?" He doesn't say anything. As we are eating he turns all the tv's off. It was only 7:35. I let him know the tv's went out. He says again "we are closing" and he has to turn them off. I ask him to turn it on because it isn't 8pm yet and we are still here. He turned on only one. As we are finishing our meal he turns off the TV. No we didn't go to watch TV yet it was rude to turn them off as we were there while the business is open. No customer service skills from this kid. While I genuinely appreciate the military discount, the lack of respect/common courtesy means more. I had my daughter with me attempting to show her my favorite local places. She is here visiting from Sacramento, CA. I have been here before and have always been treated with dignity and respect. That was not the case today. I hope management will train this kid to better serve the valued customers. Thank you, Daniel, US Army (Retired)"
"Both of our orders were fantastic! I had 2 meat plate with Brisket & Sausage, I wish I could make Brisket that tender and juicy! Wife had salad with chicken, even though the salad kept growing, she couldn't stop taking another bite. Fried Pickles were hand battered and not from a frozen bag, very tasty! Been to other locations, never been disappointed."
"Below average. Oily, seems baked not smoked. Not to say I read or I am saying they claim they smoke just that this tastes like something my mom could teach me to make is a slow cooker. There are places like Dickeys bbq so this is not the worst I’ve had but reading “best in the valley” is a joke. I could get better corn bread at grocery store. The pulled pork sandwich at QT gas station is better than Tom’s. If they really were the best something has changed."
"I got the two meet combo brisket and hot links with coleslaw and the red beans and rice. The brisket was super stringy and tough, the coleslaw was watery and the red beans and rice were bland and hard. I've been looking in the window of this location for months and finally decided to try. I was disappointed but the Hot Links were decent and the guy working the register was a nice guy . Definitely would try something else but it'll be a while before I decide to go back"
"It was my sons birthday so we took him to a playplace near this establishment and had a late lunch after. We ordered the All in Bbq sampler (for me and my husband) and a kids meal for my 9 yr old. The feast was almost a hit except for the pork bbq ribs coz I had to muscle my way to separate the meat from the bone with my bare hands. I may give it another shot next visit. My husband liked his chicken and the sides (baked beans, coleslaw and rice), my son finished his plate so I guess it’s good. The service was great and the young man at the counter was polite. The restaurant looks clean."
