Culinary Dropout (Scottsdale Waterfront)

"My wife Lynda and I visited after attending a spring training game. We had never been to this particular location, and since it was closest to us, we stopped in. We had Lynda's service puppy (Poppy) with us, and wanted to sit on the patio so she could stretch out. The manager, Donovan, went out of his way to find us a spot that was perfect for us. Our server, Carlie, was amazing during the entire evening, giving us information on the menu and helping us select exactly what we wanted. She was also very kind toward Poppy, bringing her water and ice cubes (she loves ice). Overall, it was the perfect closure to a great day."

"I heard about this place, so decided to try while in Arizona. I ordered the Shaved Prime Rib Dip Sandwich, was surprised on how good it tasted. I recommend getting a side of horse radish to add for that extra flavor."

"Great vibe, spacious area and comfortable open-air atmosphere. We shared the whipped feta and tahini dip and gochujang brussel sprouts for appetizers and had the burger, ribs and roasted salmon for main courses. They were full of flavor and made tender and fresh. Looking forward to returning again to try other dishes and cocktails."

"Located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, The Culinary Dropout is a quaint and cozy place to eat, drink and be merry! It is a dimly lit eatery with an amazing atmosphere. Dark, yet warm textures run from ceiling to floor. Combinations of tin plating, wood, metal and ashy paint surround you as the air is filled with live music and a bustling crowd! Lots of people watching to do here while you fill up on some tasty food and drink. Don’t trust me though…come try it out for yourself and see what all the fuss is about?!"

"Came here with a large group of people. We were seated outside which was fine because it was a very nice evening. However, the hostesses seemed put off when a few other friends showed up. They requested to sit at a table right next to the large one & you'd think you were asking for something outrageous. The responses from the two hostesses ws somewhat rude. The servers were very attentive, but I did see one of the servers snatch one of our friend's drinks up because another server brought the wrong drink to the table... instead of just leaving the drink she removed it with haste. The food was good, but a lot of us weren't impressed. The chicken pasta was a Pesto, which is fine, but there was no salt in the dish. The burgers, according to the teens, were great! I'm glad we were able to try this place, but I don't think well be back anytime soon. Random note. The bathroom was not that clean."
