"I am honestly not sure why this place is rated so high. We tried it based on reviews. The place was crowded with only 2 waitresses trying to take care of everyone. This caused the service to be poor. Not friendly and very matter of fact. It is not the waitress fault that they were understaffed. I found it ridiculous that at a Mexican food restaurant, we had to pay for chips and salsa. They were not good at all. The chips were cold and the salsa had 0 flavor. I got the steak fajita quesadilla and it was pretty good. The best thing on the plate was the guacamole, which was passable. A couple people in our group of 4 got margaritas (watermelon and strawberry) and said they were not great. Overall, I cannot recommend this place at all. Poor service and mediocre food. We had high hopes based on the reviews and were sorely disappointed."

"We came here after seeing Google reviews and were not steered wrong. Upon entry it seemed this place was for a quick bit to eat but to linger, tables were very close together, everything appeared clean. Happy Hour has discounted beers and house margaritas, we started with chips & guac - tasty but average. Margarita tasted good albeit a bit weak. The lobster& carne asada with chipotle sauce was great, the mixed grill was good with the carnitas being the outstanding item (full of flavor but not greasy or with fat). Rice &beans as sides were okay, serving sizes are not meant for leftovers. When we praised the chipotle sauce we were offered more and gladly accepted... But then it showed up on the bill as extra item - a bit to our surprise as that is not how it was presented.... Service was friendly and came by often to chat. The dessert we had hoped to eat was not available that day. Overall, we would go back for very specific food items and the freshness of it all - just communicate more specifically the prices."
