"More expensive than the bookstore. Told me I had to put my 2,000 dollar computer bag upfront to shop. I’m not going to trust some random people with my stuff so I left. I’ll just go to the bookstore on campus, get everything cheaper and carry my own bag."
"I was told that customers were requested to leave bookbags and shopping bags, but not purses or handbags, at the front counter before going out on the sales floor, to curtail the frequent shoplifting by punks and gangstas. "Rather not have them in the store," I was told. Policies were posted plainly and a customer could ALWAYS get a store credit or exchange an item at any time, without limitation. It's a shame these guys moved on to greener pastures. Main Gate Square will not be the same without them. Great selection of the coolest sportswear, great prices and original clothing ideas. This place had the most class of any store at The U of A. Definitely old school and throwback, bringing back great memories of the time when Wildcat sports programs were at their finest. Lute Olson, Bill Walton, Luke Walton, Jenny Finch, etc., etc. autographed memorabilia everywhere. Friendly, helpful sales people, too. Word has it the owner retired because he got sick of having to deal with people like Patty Perez, who's 5 year old granddaughter, I was told, was running amuck in the store without any supervision from her grandparents and was about to destroy store merchandise when the owner stopped her. That was what I was told, anyway. I know a lot of people who will miss shopping at Campus Athletic. Too bad they're gone forever."
"If you're looking to support small local businesses this is the place to shop. The store is typically cheaper than the bookstore while still providing quality products. There are signs clearly stating that are no cash refunds for items but items may be returned for store credit or exchanged. The employees do their best to be helpful and engaging."
"The price is cheaper than at the bookstore. But make sure you positive what you buy is what you want because there return policy is weird. They wont let you enter with with food or drinks or even water and if anyone has a bag or purse they make you leave it at the front."
