"Employee walked in without washing their hands and immediately started handling dough. my cashier did the same thing immediately after handling money. Guessing dirtiness is part of the process because the pizza was still good. Lmao"
"On 02/24 I ordered an Alfredo pizza with brownies and me and wife received food poisoning from it. We were sick for days and I have called the restaurant and I’ve had 2 people hang up on me and sent an email via the papa John’s website and they referred me back to the restaurant. If I would have died I probably would have received better service."
"You don’t have to answer the phone anymore I guess. Called to make a large order and the line directs you to a call center in India. When they direct you to the store they don’t answer. So I Placed the order with the call to be “done in 45 mins”. Get to the store to pick it up to find out they won’t have it done for an extra hour (hour 45 total). “You should have called the store” she says. 75 employees with no lunch. Thanks."
"Let me preface this by saying I haven’t done a review in a long time and am going out of my way(giving up precious lunch time at work) to write this re This is the ABSOLUTE WORST PIZZA I have had the misfortune of eating in Arizona. I would prefer literally anyone else in Phoenix to papa John’s. Let me describe the ultimate slice of pizza you’re supposed to hand out 20 hard earned dollars to eagerly obtain. First when you’re handed the box it feels empty or perhaps half a pizza. That’s not a good sign I didn’t order thin crust. Then you open it and see a pizza reminiscent of something astronauts eat(which means dried out and shrunken unfortunately) You pick it up and the pizza literally has no reaction to gravity(it is stiff like they gave you the pizza cooking board.) it literally retains its shape no matter what you could make a paper airplane out of this stuff! We all know a pizza should have some bounce in it due to nicely cooked dough slouching. This pizza feels like cardboard and guess what? The taste isn’t far off. When you bit into the pizza dough/crust has zero moisture and is burnt bottom and side. The cheese has little moisture too or maybe it’s the fact that you don’t get much cheese that makes that stand out so much. Then when you try to swallow it fights you and requires a beverage to complete. Maybe that’s their way to upsell soda?? And it was delivery time either I ordered at 6p and got the pizza at 630p so it didn’t sit in a bag for 2 hours like some places! I would rate 1/10 easily and I’m only giving it a 1 because if your planet crashed in the woods and you’ve been starving for over a month you might take a bite and the calories might sustain you until the rescue party finds you and airlifts you to a respectable pizza place after pumping your stomach. Otherwise I’d have the FDA and CDC classify this as a poison and recalled immediately!! If you didn’t read this whole thing I’ll sum it up quickly: It literally looks, feels and taste like pizza sitting in the refrigerator for a week or two. No moisture and no taste. Verdict: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Edit: So after 2-2 1/2hrs of trying to reach this restaurant by phone I managed to get a hold of the manager by the name of Rudy. I explained the situation and he apologized and immediately took action. I got a coupon for a remake next time I was in the area using it a day later. The pizza was a lot better the second time and was actually edible. Perhaps it was an off day to order pizza. Either way I’d like to thank Rudy and the staff for handling this issue. I have changed my rating to 3 stars as I still had a ridiculously hard time reaching staff."
"After waiting 2 hours for my order I received pizza that appeared to havehad been dropped and placed back in the box. After spending 2 hours calling the store as well as the 877 customer service line who also could not reach the store we finally got a hold of someone at 10:24pm. The male we spoke to told us he was the manager. He refused to provide a district manager number and then proceeded to yell at me over the phone telling me to not worry about it I can go over his head to corporate. A completely unacceptable way of doing business and extremely unprofessional manner especially from someone who is supposed to be a manager. Will be contacting whoever I can about this incident."
