"Trail head parking is across the street from the ranger station. Its a dirt lot with a fair amount of parking. Road to parking is not marked and has some potholes. There is a trail head sign and be warned trail is steep in places and has a steady incline most of the way. There are a couple places it levels out but they are short lived. Station Creek is a great stopping point to hydrate and get some energy source in your body before taking the last leg to Bald mountain. I clocked 2332 feet elevation climb to Bald mountain and back to the trailhead and did it in 5 hrs total. I found the hike to be one of the harder ones as the elevation gain is done in a fairly short amount of distance. Great work out and good cardio 57 years old and knocking out trails like this makes me feel great"
"Enjoyable, but steep for inexperienced hikers... I enjoyed it but just beware it is uphill and if you have someone in your party who isn't as fit, things won't be as enjoyable. We pushed on and made it close to the top, but we did not go to the top because to reach the top there is another steep climb and our less experienced hikers were ready to turn around. Great views of the valley. We saw a lizard, birds, chipmunks, and a squirrel. The trail is well kept and again, for the inexperienced there were some narrow steep parts that made them a little nervous. Not crowded at all. A pleasant mountain hike."
"Lovely trail! However, it's very narrow and gets steep on one side there's a considerable drop off if you fall or slip. Not a beginner trail in my beginner opinion. Bring water and let someone know you're out here for sure. I don't even know how far back it goes it seems like forever! Doggy did fine, but definitely watch out for the steep sandy parts of the trail."
"Great hike! Steeper than I expected in spots. Finish it out with the trail on to the Bald Mountain summit. (Rather steep!) Very worth it. The east side of the lower loop is the steepest. Beautiful views!"
"Great trail with beautiful views, but be prepared for steep inclines and some slippery slopes. This is a little more advanced trail and wouldn’t be recommended for families with small children."
