"I’m new to this gym and so far I like it! It has a very nice panorama view in downtown Boise. I wish parking would be easier and more spacious thought!"
"I wanted to an update after another 6 months of membership. I've been a member here off and on for years. A few general comments: - The smaller size and location of the gym are positives in my view. If you need to drive and park, though, it's rough. They have parking through the hotel, but it's time limited and the garage gets full and unusable if there are lots of hotel guests or events. - The locker rooms are tiny, barely kept up (broken hooks, and doors, towels strewn about), showers are sort of just a mess (it's one big open space mostly). Also, on the mens restroom, the urinal continues to almost flood daily as it's been kind of clogged forever. You can use it, but don't flush it.. - Cardio machines are ok -- getting on the older side but work well usually Some frustrations continue to include: - They lease out the pool to external swim lessons, so there are large swaths of the day where the pool is basically unusable and kids are running around, screaming, parents are everywhere -- it's a mes - It's also the hotel pool and gym, so between that, swim lessons and normal members, it's a dirty pool if we are being honest. I used to swim here, but I've run into so many gross hairs and "things" underwater that I just can't do it anymore. - It feels like ownership has gotten a little excited post pandemic and membership growth has REALLY taken off the last few months. It's really noticeable and at peak times (4pm-7pm) it's almost impossible to get a weight workout in without massive frustrations. There's simply no space. There's one single real squat rack (the other is a smith machine type thing), a couple benches, one normal bench press ... you'll end up nearly bumping into people just trying to pick up dumbbells. - There also seem to be some third party kettle bell trainers running private training in the gym, which further takes up space and seems to always ALSO be at peak times. - During peak times -- FORGET about trying to even get changed in the locker room. It becomes like trying to change in an aircraft lavatory. - I don't know if they plan to cap memberships, but I worry they won't (like all gyms, they just love the money coming in) ... and it's now teetering on not being a usable gym option just because it's so uniquely small in terms of Sq/Ft. It just doesn't handle the extra people well. - For now I continue to go and mostly enjoy it but only because I have schedule flexibility. If I were forced to only go at after work times, it'd be a tough sell honestly. 4/5 for now -- but it's getting too crowded really quickly"
"I've enjoyed my workouts at the Grove hotel. I prefer to go early in the morning when there are less people. I appreciate that parking is included."
"When I lived in Boise and worked at CenturyLink I received a discounted membership through my health and wellness program. Sadly I moved away but chose this hotel location when I am in town, just to revisit this faculty. Extremely clean and well kept fitness club. All of their machines and equipment are state of the art. I only came for the steam room and pool, but can vouche for every aspect of this business. I am not sure if it's the same owner of the hotel, but hats off to whoever runs this place. They have too much to offer for me to say in this measly review, I highly recommend visiting their website to see everything they have to offer. I'll be back, again and again."
"Small but nice gym. Should be everything most people need for a decent workout. Very clean workout areas and kind employees but bathroom/locker room had a strong urine odor. In any case, views are great and make it feel bigger than it is. I'll be back for sure."
