"I showed up here as an out of towner and everybody was phenomenal! Excellent service, competitive pricing and the most responsible staff I've ever had the the pleasure of purchasing from. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!"
"After our initial feeling of being ignored for 8 minutes, our server did come & get our drink order. Drink was very tasty! Beer was ice cold & yummy. We were there for an hour or more having drinks & saw all kinds of delicious food brought by us until we couldn’t take it any more and ordered! Nachos & garlic Parmesan cauliflower. It was the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten! We took a couple bites of both dishes & couldn’t eat anymore. When our server asked us about the food we told her how much we disliked it, she didn’t really respond. She took the full dishes back to the kitchen without an apology. What surprised me the most was that there was no mention of a discount or subtraction of the cost of the food! We paid full price for food we couldn’t eat, without so much as an apology! Very saddening! I doubt if we’ll ever bother to try food here again."
"The only reason this is getting two stars instead of one is because of the bartender, Danika, who was super pleasant. This bar is dingy and so is the clientele. Food was disgusting too. Greasy onion rings dripped grease when you bit in and probably the worst French dip ever; small and dry. The worst part is that they allow smoking on their patio, so not only can you not enjoy a nice day outside (although the patio has zero ambiance to invite this), but every time they open the door to go to the patio, nasty smoke wafts into the bar. A definite one and done for my friend and me."
"Hooligans has changed a lot with new ownership and mostly for the better. They have a lot more organization that has brought in a more respectful crowd. The food is better than you'd think, and the mixed drinks are surprisingly good. The best part for us is they are within walking distance of our home. This was the first place we took our son for some adult fun when he turned 21. Fun memories."
"I had high hopes for Hooligan’s especially after hearing about how awesome their burgers are. However I found this sport bar pretty average. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad in any way at all but it wasn’t exceptionally memorable either. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered a PBR ($3.00) and cranberry vodka ($6.00), respectively. For grub, we chose Nachos ($9.00/half order, $16.00 for full) with beer cheese (+$2.00) and chicken (+$3.00), and the highly acclaimed Hooligan’s Burger (locally-raised, grass-fed beef with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato on an Acme brioche bun with fries, $13.00) with American cheese. The price is just right for the great quality of the food. The nachos were fantastic – they were extremely generous with the toppings which were all fresh. I couldn’t really tell a difference in the cheese. The burger was cooked just pink enough (which is default, you have to tell them if you’d like it more well done). But it wasn’t much more than another pub burger. Again, I am not saying it wasn’t great. It just didn’t stand out in my long, long list of fantastic burgers the Treasure Valley offers. Fries were yummy! I would definitely return for the great priced drinks."
