"Instead of driving to the trailer(about 30ft) and leaving the package on her porch, this has become the new normal. Leaving their package on top the public mailbox."
"Multiple issues over the past few years. Worse than any post office we have ever used. Firstly, 2 Years ago Christmas, my mom sent a check to my daughter from Miami literally within days of me sending an envelope with a gift to my daughter from Central Florida. Neither envelope was delivered or recieved by my daughter who lives off Wrenco Loop. When I talked directly to our SP PO folks, they said it probably got 'misplaced or lost in Spokane's distribution center', and without tracking info we were out of luck. Secondly, I sent a certified letter/return receipt w/a check on the 20th July to a bank. I just checked the tracking and it literally just shows that it left Spokane on the 30th! If you have ever paid to do certified mail and RR you know it costs almost $10 to mail a simple little envelope. So why has it taken 10 days for Sandpoint/Spokane? Finally, and this is how I'm pretty certain it is our local post office vice Spokane: we ordered a $120 control board for our washing machine. It shows delivered at our mailbox on a Sat, but when we checked on Monday it was not there. When my husband reported it undelivered, they show a satellite photo of our postal guy at our mailbox and he reported delivering it in a big box that 1- isn't an official Federal postal box and 2- doesn't have our address number on it- it has our neighbor's address and they told us nothing was in there. The PO is supposed to hold any packages too large for delivery - which they did not do....and should not be delivering to boxes that aren't approved receptacles with no address. So our local post office is not dependable and not taking responsibility for their serious issues. We have filed a claim on the missing control board, but at this point, I recommend going with FedEx or UPS. Government agencies aren't held to a high enough standard in almost everything."
"My home is a new build in Sandpoint, I went to Sandpoint post office and changed my address a year ago! I am still not receiving my mail, but I am receiving mail on a regular basis for several other people that live in my neighborhood. I am receiving emails telling me items I ordered have been returned and to check that my address is correct. I know my address but Sandpoint Postal Service obviously don’t!"
"I've filled out the form 3 times to have mail get delivered to my address in Ponderay. My mailbox in Ponderay is a group drop off box with 20 other boxes. I've been here since August and I still can't get mail delivered to my free box. It's like they want me to spend $90 for a box at their office."
"I'm sure all of the employees are awesome. But this review and shout out are to the 4 or 5 that run the front. They are amazing and put s smile on my face every single time I'm in there. Ryan is great friendly caring and genuine and jus glows and passes his glow along. And Dave always has an answer to a any question. I may need and is very kind.. we got Rhonda who is such a sweet heart and so caring and Genuine and goes I UT of her way to make sure I n know she cares and helps I'm any way she can. And we got the kid. Who's smile is contagious. He's caring but straight to the point and last but not least we got Amanda who's smile brightens the room she is genuine and caring and helps with what she can. ALL of them remember me by name and greet me with friendly hi everytime I walk on there. They go and check my mail for me. And have a caring conversation or answer and question or concern I may have. I look forward to go I ng and seeing them snd some days they help get thru the day. Very amazing staff and they all need a raise. I'm beyond grateful to them. The little things are what matters."
