"I started coming here a few years ago and have never had an issue until recently. After finding out I was pregnant after 6 years of infertility I called and was told I needed to come in for an hcg test before seeing a doctor. So that’s what I did. I was told to come back a week later for a repeat hcg to make sure my levels went up. Due to other health conditions I requested additional testing to ensure my hormone levels are where they needed to be to support a healthy pregnancy. I was told by the nurse that they do not do additional testing for what I had requested. After going back and forth with her about it she said she would ask a provider. Fortunately, the provider approved it. I received my results through lab corp(not through Pearl) and found out some hormone levels were low. I called around 11:30 on a Friday to request to speak with a dr and was told that they’re closing soon(at 12:00 pm) and no one is available. I asked if a provider is on call and they said no. I asked what can be done to talk with a provider before the weekend and explained that with levels that low it could result in a miscarriage. Whoever I talked to was so rude on the phone, had no empathy for the situation and was more concerned about leaving for the day than providing care for a patient. I was told they would send a note to the provider to have them reach out to me. Or I can try the emergency room. It’s been over a week and no one has called me to tell me about my lab results, it’s been 5 days since I have requested to speak with a provider and I have still not received a response from a provider about my concerns. The only reason why I know my test results is because lab corp sends an email to the patient once the results are processed. After this experience I will never recommend Pearl."
