"It is important to me as a patient to have doctor's who believe in side effects, (you'd be amazed at how many don't). I need doctors who believe in being proactive about side effects and attempting to mitigate them when possible, and to also monitor for the subtler side effects that you don't notice until they have caused major damage. Dr Khaddour was not willing to discuss side effects or answer questions about prevention and monitoring for adverse events. She told me there was a difference between questions and concerns. Questions about potential side effects do not merit an answer beyond "don't worry about it." Which she believes to be reassuring to the patient. A concern is when you've already developed the side effects and that is when she will address it and not before. Unfortunately many side effects could be eliminated or mitigated with doctors who are willing to do so. She would not even allow me to explain why I felt it important to address two potential side effects proactively. As she was unwilling to try to communicate with me she suggested I seek another doctor. I wish she could have understood what I needed because a lot of patients would prefer proactive/preventative care over crisis management and damage control."

"I feel it’s important to update 12/9/22: During this appointment Dr.Khaddour told me that a MRI was just as good as a mammogram. If I got cancer they could treat it at that time. Talking about preventative care seemed so much of a burden for her. My Doctor and the breast care center suggested MRI due to my high risk of breast cancer. So, I did one with recommendations of my team. Fast forward to 4 months later the MRI found a 5mm lump that wasn’t able to be detected from mammogram or ultrasound. Instead of mammogram in 6 months it’s recommended a MRI. When she provided me her professional opinion I knew it was in correct and insensitive. Always use your gut when looking at physicians or picking a healthcare team. There are many great physicians out there pick a good one, and always a second opinion if needed. Original review: My PCP suggested a consult with a doctor at the cancer institute due to my high risk of breast cancer. The staff (front desk, nurses,etc) were terrific. They showed so much compassion and assessed wellbeing perfectly. Dr. Khaddour’sbedside manner was very poor. She was rude, and abrupt. She asked why I was there, and it appeared as though she felt I was wasting her time. 1st of all I went because my doctor suggested I do. The thing that got me is her rolling her eyes at me during the appointment when I told her why I was there. She contradicted my doctor and the doctor at the breast care center. I did not feel valued and respected. I hope you do better Dr. Khaddour."
