"Very nice. Breakfast was delicious. The employees on hand were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions."
"For such a small communnity (Sandpoint and surrounding towns) this is a very busy airport, year round even. It is not uncommon to see several large, private jets arrive or depart during the summer months, not so many in winter. We live less than a mile east of the airport and they are very good neighbors and aircraft operators are considerate of the population below."
"Here is my story: Fourthy-years ago I sold and delivered a Blanik sailplane to the George Brothers to this airport. Checked out a flight instructor's Mr. Ted Farmin. It was such a beautiful place that I wanted to share with my wife and two boys, that I called my friend in Torrance Ca. Who had a V35 A Bonanza to bring my family up there. The wonderful friendliness of the Sandpoint people has given us a lifetime memories. Now look at my visit there some forthy years later: After visiting friend on a private airport, I thought it would be nice to see Sandpoint airport again. Walked into the beatyful FBO office and ask the young lady about the George Brothers, She suggested to ask those four gentleman's having coffee, I Walked there addressing them with my question AND WHEN ONE OF THEM ( MR. TED FARMIN) LOUDLY SAID: CHARLIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! Ted has recognized my Hungarian Accent and my second visit became even more memorable than the first one. Sandpoint airport will be in my travel itinerary every times I up in Vancouver Canada. I just learned that my dear friend , my Lawyer spends months in Sandpoint and keeps his Mooney at the airport. Ted, see you soon as soon as the virus situation is resolved. Charlie Gyenes"
"I came up to sand point Idaho for a the fly-in at the airport. I came to the hotel at around 11am. Paid for a room and was told that my room might be ready early but if not, “check it would be after 3” I left and came back at 5:35 and went to get my room and key and was told my room would not be ready for another 45 to hour. I then asked if they would give me a discount, the guy told me that they were booked last night and that he couldn’t give me any discount or break on my bill. Not sure I understood their “customer service” or lack there of. Next time I’m up, I think I’ll be staying somewhere else. I’m also gonna tell my people when they ask, where not to stay. I realize Sand Point is a hot spot for tourism, especially now that ID is open to phase 4. People want to be here and I get it but, don’t cheapin your customer service."
"I understand that the airport is very busy year round. The helicopters fly very low over the housing area. They vibrate my house. I live on Honeysuckle Ave. Can you get them to fly at least as high as the planes?"
