"My husband and I were traveling through the area and had the good fortune to find the Historical Society open. The gentleman there was extremely knowledgeable and provided us a great tour of the building and the artifacts displayed there. We purchased an Oral History Book that was published in 1998 of folks who had grown up in the area which we found very interesting. The visit to both Goodland and St Francis was so nice and we were very glad we ventured off the Interstate to explore these friendly towns."
"I drove to Goodland, KS to see the Ennis Handy House, but it wasn't open during the normal business hours. I even called a day ahead and asked "Will you be open on Saturday after 1:00pm?" and they said YES. The weren't open at 1:00pm, nor at 1:30pm. I had to leave so I didn't get to see the house. I suspect this is a volunteer-supported organization with the hours they volunteer very loosey-goosey."
