"Friendly People in the Welcome Center. On a snowy day, the grounds are well maintained."
"This was a very nice and well done visitor center and a great break from the road! They had clean restrooms, friendly staff, plus cute photo op displays. I took a picture with all the characters from Wizard of Oz and we also got free packets of sunflower seeds. One of the nicer welcome centers we saw on our long road trip!"
"I travel 35 to 40 weekends a year. Travel Information Centers are a great help to travelers. This is one of the best I have seen. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff."
"Great rest stop! There's a nice loop for campers, and we were towing a camp trailer. Awesome trees, the Great-Tailed Grackles (aka Mexican grackles) were entertaining, and making cool sounds. Perfect spot to stop on our travels and make sandwiches for a restful lunch in the camper."
"Unfortunately, the rest area gift shop was closed, so I was forced to take my picture of Dorothy through the gift shop window. However, the overall aesthetic of the rest area was very nice. The women's restroom was relatively clean in comparison to others I've seen. It has three handicap stalls, and a separate family restroom, which I thought was nicely accommodating to those who need them. When I arrived, the restroom had toilet paper on the floor by the trash can, and the trash needed to be taken out. I only noticed one stall that was disgusting, but the rest were fine. Being that others I've encountered were far worse I feel like they need the credit where it's due. Public restrooms can only be as clean as the guests leave it. A maintenance/ janitorial employee can't clean after every single person. Therefore, I believe they do a great job keeping up with them."
