"They would not take my newborn as a patient due to the fact that I have an older son that is “too old” to be seen at their office. He’s 12, which is still a normal age for pediatric care. The age cutoff is 8 and they refuse to see one child due to their policy about seeing all siblings in a family. Their office staff has given me several different answers and no one seems to firmly know their policies. It took talking to two different people to even get to this conclusion. The doctors might be great, but their policies are ridiculous to the point that the staff can’t keep track of them."

"First time mom here. I wish I would have read reviews before making an appointment here. Our doctor was Dr. vancuren. Although she was super nice, she did not seem knowledgeable. Around 3 weeks, our newborn got super constipated. We went in to see her for the first time and she told us to do a suppository. After another week he was still super uncomfortable, and not going on his own. We came back in and she prescribed us a laxative. We both thought this was kind of weird because he was still so young to take any kind of medication. She started us off on 2 times a day. We asked her if she thinks it could be his formula, she said no. We came back about a week later again because he was not going still. All she did was tell us to up how many times we give him the medication, and she is going to do a referral for a specialist. THREE weeks go by and still no call for a specialist appointment. We decided to get a second opinion. The second doctor we went to even thought the medication was super weird, he said for constipated babies he usually start off by changing our formula to the Reguline one. We tried that and not even a WEEK later he starts going all on his own every single day. We had an appointment coming up for him at Redbud so I called and canceled and let them know we had gone some where else. Not even 2 days later, they sent us a letter about us leaving their practice, and we can’t get any services like their 24 hour nurse line. Why the heck would we leave a practice and still use any services from them? They wasted no time sending out that dumb letter, but couldn’t even get a call back for my child to be seen by a specialist. We wasted so much time, and sleepless nights when all it was for our newborn was his FORMULA. Our child depends on us to figure out what is wrong with them, so do not go here if you want to figure anything out."

"Update: 5 months after being dismissed by this questionable practice we still received emails with a snotty tone, telling us that they will start charging extra for the 24 hour nurse line and informing us that We have been bothering them with nonsense concerns. I received an updated email as well because I'm assuming that didn't go well with the patients they so graciously kept, saying most insurances have a FREE 24 hour nurse lines but if you need us you will be charged extra. The rude tone was so unnecessary with first email. Take me off of your list, guys. Thanks so much. Dr. Mason was the least attentive doctor I've seen in the three years that I've been a mother. She tried to force an autism diagnosis before 2 years old on my son even though I wasn't comfortable with that yet and basically told me that I was a bad mom for ignoring her referral to rainbow. Her nurse practitioner Katrina I think it was, was incredibly rude to us and acted as if we were going to give her a "poor people" disease. They are terrible to people on state insurance even going as far as saying "oh great, another one.." with an audible sigh when they were informed of the insurance provider. Do not bring your children here. They do not care about your kids if you don't have private insurance or pay out of pocket. Redbud is privately owned and the only complaint you can make is to their office coordinator who will then have a meeting with the owners. I am supposed to trust that this woman will take responsibility for their mistakes to the important people but not to the person with the issue. I don't think so. Redbud is more of a business than a medical practice so I'll be going to the BBB and the Kansas board of healing arts. I will send an email and a letter every week for the three years that you saw my oldest until I get an apology or a valid explanation as to why you dismissed my kids as patients for appointments you made and cancelled while being a rushed and inattentive doctor the WHOLE entire 3 years. Dr. Mason, you were given grace for your inexperience and the overall holier than thou attitude. Being dismissed as patients was like getting dumped by the ugly guy that was given a chance. Thanks so much for 3 years of judgement and medical malarkey."

"I am extremely happy with the care my kids receive from Dr. Carlson. She is not only a great doctor, but she is also very kind and friendly. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns and provides thorough and detailed explanations of any medical issues my child may be experiencing. She also explains herself to my children what is going on in a way they are able to understand. The nurses, secretaries, and all other staff at the clinic are also wonderful. They are always professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. We feel like we are part of a caring and supportive community when we visit RedBud. I've always been able to get emergency appointments when needed and their nurse triage line has come in handy a time or two. We are over an hour away from this office, but we love the environment and it is worth the time and drive for the excellent care! Overall, I highly recommend RedBub with Dr. Carlson and her team to anyone looking for exceptional pediatric care. Thank you, Dr. Carlson, and your entire staff, for the excellent care you provide to our family!"
