"This is a review of Dr. Laura Young in Post Falls, Idaho. I keep forgetting to leave a review on here because it’s been almost a year since my surgery. My surgery and recovery went very well, I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. Prior to my surgery I was having to combine Tylenol and Advil during my period and I would still be in pain, I also had to take medication random times during the month when I would be in pain. But since my surgery I have not had to take a SINGLE Tylenol or Advil (except for right after when I was recovering and the first period after surgery of course.) I now go places during my period without having to take any medication! I used to be stuck at home during the first two days of my period even with taking medicine, so this has greatly improved my life. I have had no bowel issues/pain since my surgery and I have so much more energy. I have also changed my diet, I stopped eating fast food and just eat real food (nothing processed) so I’m sure that has helped with my endometriosis symptoms also. One of the reasons I had surgery was to improve my fertility but sadly I have still not been able to get pregnant but of course that could still change. Overall this surgery improved my life drastically and I can’t recommend Laura Young enough! EDIT: I’m officially 21 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl!"

"I reached out to Dr. Young after an MRI showed a large endometrioma on my left ovary. My consult with her was the first time a physician fully explained to me endometriosis and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. I am currently about 4 weeks post lap where she excised stage 4 endo, my endometrioma, and appendix. My surgery went as well as expected given the circumstances. Dr. Young knew that fertility is important to me so she took great care to not negatively impact my fertility while removing the endo. The Northwest Speciality Hospital staff was amazing. The nurses took great care of me during recovery. Dr Young made sure to update my husband after surgery. She then came into my room the next morning to go into detail over what she found. I feel so much gratitude for Dr. Young and staff. I highly recommend her and the hospital if you or someone you love suffers from this awful disease."

"I’m only 2 weeks post surgery with Dr. Young and I already feel like I have my health back! I’ve battle endo for years with 2 prior surgeries by doctors who did very little and told me they’d be too scared to do surgery again. Dr. Young is the first doctor to make me feel like I wasn’t going crazy, she’s so confident in what she does and so kind and compassionate at the same time. I feel so good, the swelling from my surgery is less than my endo bloat and have lost 8 lbs already. I just can’t say enough about Dr. Young, I’m so happy I found her!"

"After 10 plus years of extreme pelvic pain and everything else being ruled out it was time to find a gynecologist and she was the one that I was referred to. I was hesitant because at the time she only had one review on Google and was very new to the area and hadn't been in the field super long but still had some years and I figured often times those are the best doctors because they have all of the newest information so I had an appointment with her and had never had a pap smear and certainly wasn't going to. In my 37 years I have never had one and due to that fact I was just terrified of it and of course the day that I had my appointment with her I started my cycle and so I definitely knew I wasn't going to be letting that happen that day but I went to my appointment anyway to talk to her and I have never felt so comfortable in my life. Even though I was menstrating I let her do a pelvic exam and Pap smear because she explained to me that some of the pain I might be having she might be able to get a better read on it if she can take a look at it when it's at its worst (meaning while bleeding). She was very quick and it was completely painless, physically and emotionally. We determined shortly after that surgery was my best option in order for this pelvic pain to go away. It has been years since I have gone for more than a week without his awful pain I have lost every job I've ever had because of it I've missed out on so many fun things with family and friends and have a very low quality of life in the last five years especially which from time to time made me suicidal because nobody could figure out what was wrong with me and nobody understood or thought I was exaggerating the pain. Dr. Young is so knowledgeable and I'm so thankful that I found her. I have not had the horrible pain that I have lived with for so long in 12 days. I was so worried about having a hysterectomy and an appendectomy at the same time because I had never gone under the knife very long at all every surgery I had was very minor. I'm doing great post-surgery and I just want anyone and everyone to know that even though dr. Young is new to our area she has so much knowledge in this area that it honestly makes others in the field PALE IN COMPARISON. If you want A doctor who is kind compassionate gentle extremely knowledgeable and very thorough then this is the doctor for you. I can honestly say I've never been happier with the choice of a doctor in my life. If you're having problems with your female organs or just need a new gynecologist go see doctor young and her staff because she and they only give Top Notch service and you will not be disappointed. QUIT LETTING YOUR FEAR PARALYZE YOU QUIT LIVING IN PAIN. Thank you so much dr young i am forever appreciative to you. You gave me back a life worth living again."

"In August I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Young prior to my surgery with Dr. Duke. Dr. Young would be performing my laparoscopic myomectomy in hopes to keep my uterus for future pregnancy. Dr. Young was kind and compassionate. She explained the procedure and recovery very well. She removed the entire fibroid with no complications. During my recovery I was informed any future pregnancy would need to wait so my uterus could heal. I would also need a c-section. I am so thankful for Dr. Young and her skills, I have faith that she gave me the possibility to carry a baby. So many other physicians gave me zero options and informed me a hysterectomy was the only option. I am forever thankful to these outstanding surgeons!"
