"Retired Law enforcement here. Went in yesterday to sell a Pelican I had no use for. The dog in the shop started growling and barking at me soon as I walked in and didn’t stop. The people were certainly worse than the animal. Young dude at the gun counter was so paranoid I brought a case in to a shop that sells cases? So paranoid he had a women come stand behind me? Or she thought she had “instincts “ WTH? They instantly judged me on my appearance and treated me badly. The people in this shop have to be the most oppressed free people I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Did sell the dude the case (told him I was donating it if I couldn’t sell it). I feel he and the “staff” really need to turnoff the TV and maybe the internet as well. Holy smokes P.S. I have the receipt I signed and it’s my name…so weird."

"Looked at a couple of over under shotguns here. When I found a used one that would fit my needs I offered $25 less then asking price and they agreed. Once we started the paperwork one of the guys came out of the back and said the owner Cliff said he changed his mind about the price. Do not waste your time here."

"I’ve been coming here for a while. Usually for reloading supplies. But each time I come in it seems like a worse experience than the last time. The staff is hardly inviting. The prices on used weapons is high. The older female employee I’ve heard regularly trashing customers. And the others do the bare minimum of asking if you want to look at something, but no enthusiasm in actually doing so. In the years I’ve been coming here, I’ve maybe had one employee who was helpful to me. The dog inside has better customer service than just about anyone else in there. Think I’ll stay away from now on."

"This shop is crunchy and varied - exactly what I like in a family owned store. I expect the employees to be busy and opinionated. This place is as much of a curio as it is a competent firearms store. I don't think paying the lowest price possible at a place where the salesman is going to tell you what you want to hear is the best way to buy a gun. Rather, I like the fact that Cliff's has its own competency and the employees are happy to work safely within it. A true link in the community, a family friendly piece of Idaho living history. Hunters, bench shooters and 2nd amendment defenders should be at home here. The reloading area is one of the best around. Second hand and antique safes for a distinct fit in the home of any advocate or collector. CLOSE OUTS!! and parts and equipment for DIYers. I feel supported here!"
