Not only were they so kind when my fiancée and myself went into their home office, but they were SUPER responsive, had great communication, and extremely helpful! We didn't end up going with a property they manage directly, but instead with a private landlord who used Sterling as their means of advertising. Despite the unique scenario, Sterling Property Management transferred our application with them over to the owner of the house and even helped be a middle man for communication, despite them having any direct involvement. To my fiancée and myself, that alone spoke volumes for the type of service they provide to their property owners and tenants! The staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially Valerie! "I'm a traveling professional and am only interested in renting a room for a 13 week contract. Having said that, when I inquired regarding an available room in a split level home they had on marketplace, I was informed they would not be able to show me the property until I completed the application, of which included a fee. I understand that this application is then good for one year at any of their available properties, however I'm assuming this company doesn't have a high amount of room rentals, opposed to rental units. Regardless, I do think it's bad business to require, a consumer pay any type of fee prior to having all the required information regarding the product they are considering purchasing. They have solid reviews, so I'm sure they're an upstanding rental agency. The fact remains that a consumer wants to ensure their money is a good investment, regardless of how big or small. Knowledge is power. Bad business."
