"Great place to take the family. I really love that they have added picnic benches down by the lake as well!"
"The attendants at the front desk were so very helpful. I have never had a bad experience with at the visitor center."
"Beautiful area, we have been coming here since we were children and now bring our children. Unfortunately, first come first serve campgrounds don't have pens, and the pen we had didn't work. It would be nice if Ponderosa State Park allowed for modern forms of payment without the risk of being cited when going back into town for a pen or to the visitor center to pay."
"Beautiful day to hang out in the park. It’s been quiet and peaceful with clear skies. Today I’m hanging out near the main visitor center. There’s lots of green grass to lay on, restrooms, and a shelter. The shelter is available for use unless someone has already reserved it. You will hear crows and other birds. Squirrels and other critters sneak by."
"There's a great beach area down below the visitor's center with a few picnic tables and designated/protected swim area. There's also some large grassy areas and of course you're surrounded by beautiful trees mountains and the lake. Great place to visit!"
