"This place gets zero stars. I have lived in a few apartments, but none quite as terrible & unprofessional as Rock Creek. I lived in unit 138 for about 8 months. First off: there have been a few emails sent to the office about the many spiders I would see (almost every single day), they said someone would come & spray, that did not happen. Second: I had a TON of fruit flies in my apartment in the summer, which I’m not sure why, I never left any food out, nothing rotting. Management never got back to me about that either. Third: Then comes the cold snap on 1/15/24. The pipes in the vacant unit next to me froze, and flooded my apartment. Unfortunately, I was out of town that week so management & one of my family members had to come and gather my things. I appreciate maintenance crew getting most of my things out of my unit, however they did throw alot of my stuff in boxes & unfortunately some of my things got moldy or broken. Of course Rock Creek won’t take responsibility for that, they tell me to call insurance. At this point I’m already sick of living here so I ask to be taken off of my lease immediately. Good news is that they complied with that request, bad news, they gave me less than a week notice to get the rest of my things out & they refused to prorate me 2 weeks of January rent, despite me being forced to relocate & my unit not being habitable for that 2 weeks. Maintenance crew cranked up the heat to dry the floors, which drove up my Avista bill up to about $300. Rock Creek has not taken responsibility for that bill. Maintenance crew also ate some of my food in the fridge while I was away which I thought was very strange & quite unprofessional. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company before. I am very compliant, and a very consistent tenant with paying my rent on time. I’ve never had a complaint before, I’ve never made a fuss or left a negative review before. People should know what they are getting themselves into before signing a lease here. It’s also quite overpriced. You can spend $200 more and get a nicer place in a nicer part of town (with better management). Please save yourself the headache & spend your money wisely, which is anywhere else but here."
"Lived at this property for 2 years. Rent increased about $100 after the first year despite no improvements to property and very few public amenities. Office managers were nice to talk to in person and over the phone. When we moved in, despite paying a cleaning fee, there was still dust build up and grime in places just beyond plain sight. The biggest issue I had was that maintenance didn't follow through. My garage remote worked about 50% of the time, and we were not given a key to physically open the garage, just the push remote. Sometimes, my vehicle was stuck inside. Had this issue on and off for about 6 months, each time maintenance just replaced the remote's batteries, not solving the actual issue. Finally, I guess I made enough of a fuss for them to take the time to reprogram a new remote. This was one of multiple examples. Only one parking space is assigned per unit which makes things difficult for roommates. When parked on the street right outside of apartment parking lot, vehicle was broken into multiple times. Overall, I'd say this place would have been okay at a cheaper price point with better maintenance."
"Current resident here for 3 years. New management is terrible. They reassigned my parking spot 3 times to other residents leaving me nowhere to park. Maintenance is the worst. I reported no hot water and it took 4 days to fix it. Then there was a leak they caused. They dont clear the snow here."
"Horrible management, maintenence was always parking in my reserved parking spot. The management or maintenence has not fixed my dishwasher and it's been a week short of 5 months. I got a flat tire overnight and they place a large orange sticker the next morning saying my truck will be towed if not moved or fixed in 48 hours. The lady manager Kerry was always rude in or with any sort of correspondence. I can't wait till my lease is up. They said if I don't sign another contract that the rent will go up $625 more for month to month renting. Unbelievable. Place is horrible and had literally zero amenities to speak of. Nothing. I wish I could put negative stars. I also parked my brand new boat in my parking spot and that has a huge orange tow sticker as well. Smh. Can't wait till lease is up."
"Lived here for a few years. Management began lying right from the start by refusing to show me the exact apartment I was going to get. The model and other apartments I was shown looked nothing like the one I got. Maintenance issues were insane. Almost every appliance broke down and every ceiling/floor had a leak. They would come into my apartment when I would not be home after specifically asking them not to. Parking is bad; cars are constantly being broken into and people digging through trash cans. Mailboxes broken into multiple times. The noise of the cars and sirens right off Nevada Street are very loud as well. Rent went up over $170. It was not worth it for a very old apartment with no amenities. I would not recommend these apartments at all. You will end up paying almost the same for a one bedroom as you would a two bedroom and you don't even get a garage or car port unless you pay extra."
