"OK - Why the 1 star? It seems to me that this town has lost its soul. It needs to be more inviting again. I have been coming to Bayview for a long time. My wife and I wanted to make it our base for a week on the lake in the sailboat. Well .....a call to Bayview Marinas started it off the wrong way. They must have seen dollar bills falling from our pockets asking crazy amounts for overnight parking and mooring spots. Oh yea... and you cant find an overnight parking spot for a truck and boat trailer ANYWHERE near the public boat ramp is a town that bases its economy around BOATING???????. Talking to the locals swimming to the right on the boat ramp with their kids (on the 20 foot of remaining waterfront) said everything on the water edge is being closed to any public use and its getting worse. I love Bayview but just cant consider coming back for locals staycation."
"Stayed here at a vrbo. It was fine. Quiet and low key. House was not amazing but it is a cute little place to stay in between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint. Ralph’s nearby for breakfast is amazing. 2 miles up the hill to overlook the lake."
"This one is hard to rate as it is different from most RV parks we have stayed in. There are three different RV areas with the Water Front being typical of most RV parks and looked to have mostly short term rentals. The Creek Side looks to be mostly seasonal rentals. The Hillside where we stayed had both short term and seasonal rentals. We stayed at the Hillside where most sites have a view of the bay. All sites looked to have water, sewer and with 30 or 50 AMP service. Most sites were big and level with a mix of dirt, gravel and concrete. My suggestion if you book the Hillside is to park your RV at the Captains Wheel and walk to the office, which n the day we arrived did not open till 3PM. Then walk up to your site to scope out the best way to get there. There are some sharp turns and a few narrow areas. If possible talk to anther RV'er and ask how they got to their site. There are a few single wides n the Hillside, Herb has been there 28 years. All we talked to were friendly. All said we vary much enjoyed our week in Bayview. The town is quaint and a bit quirky and small enough to walk everywhere. Some of the people are very laid back, so if you can accept his from the start you will enjoy your visit."
"Stayed there for 4 nights in late July 2021, my wife and I where impressed with the room. The room was large, clean, with silverware, dishes, salt and pepper, coffee. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help. Will recommend this place"
"We were there for a private party and utilized the motorhome hookups for the night. Full services. Everything worked. Clean. Short wall to the dock yo my friends houseboat. We had our bbq in the common area, about 30 of us, which was well maintained and the bar was open for adult beverages."
