Hyatt Place Boise/Downtown

"Great location with walking distance to 8th street. Nice area for breakfast. Also has outdoor seating. Room is descent sized with sofa and a nice and large closet. They charge you for parking though."

"I arrived at 11pm and checked in at the front desk. There were the team members at the front desk; two males and one female. One male member processing my check-in was polite but I did not feel any warm welcome. He confirmed my reservation and only cared about if I had car then he wanted to add the charge of $16 per day for the parking (no valet, only self-parking). Other than that, he did not provide any additional information and I needed to ,by myself, verify what kind of room I got, what time for breakfast, how about WiFi, complimentary bottled water, etc.? The other male member standing in the middle next to him was even unfriendly; when he said something to me, he did not look at me and just looked at the entrance. Very disappointed check-in experience. The room looked clean and spacious for 2-3 people. I noticed the dirty stain on the desk, which could be removed with the wet towel and the cracks on the floor of the walk-in shower room. Also there was the leak from the walk-in shower room inside to outside. The water pressure from the shower head was a bit low; I stayed on the fourth floor. The breakfast was standard as expected for the Hyatt Place. The dining room looked clean. But I just don’t understand why there was no banana during my 4 days stay? Is the banana very expensive in Boise?"

"Every Hyatt staff we engaged with were so kind and helpful. We had only planned on staying for 1 night but ran into unexpected car trouble. So, the staff graciously extended our check out time till we had to stay for a second night. Then they automatically extended our check-out time the very next day which made us feel like someone cares and is keeping an eye on our situation. Thank you all for making us feel at home and safe at the Hyatt. Happy New Year 2024 to each and everyone of you. May this year be a profitable one for you all."

"Don't book theough third party like Expedia or southwest vacations if you need any changes made. They won't help and have no record of booking the forst time, then when changed they didn't show payment from third party credit. Eneded up loosing 268.00 worth of travel credit due to thier incompetence."

"Receptionist told us our room would be ready in an hour, then tried to move us to a smaller room for the same price. We gratefully declined and went to walk around while they prepped the room. Came back two hours later and nothing had been done to the room, and we were told to wait another hour or two with no real prediction. Might I add the lobby is completely empty and as far as I can tell there is only one other guest here. Not life ending but annoying and a pain to be asked to kill four hours of time without productivity on their part. Stay tuned; will edit if stay gets any better… Update: we were put in a room an hour later, but the room lacked specific features in the description we had booked, so we called down to ask if there had been a mistake. They “discovered” we were not actually placed in a suite but in an ADA room on the same floor, since the suites were all booked. Turns out those rooms go for 25% less and we’re owed a refund. What a nice “discovery.” We truly don’t mind the inconvenience and the room is fine, but the fact we weren’t refunded the difference automatically shows they were hoping we wouldn’t notice and is shady as heck."
