I’ve worked here for over a year, and because of the Director Brandy Turner, and the rest of the employees, I feel like part a family and not just another job! Brandy always has my needs and desires in top priority. She goes beyond for her staff and really tries to make sure everyone feels welcome and a part of a family. My expectations have always been met. I feel like she goes beyond for the staff and sometimes to the point it might even take away from what she needs. She loves all the children and is always trying to implement new ways to make work fun☺️ I’m so thankful to be a part of a place that feels so close to home:)"

"I’ve been working for NHA for 9 years. I started in 2014, my daughter was 3 years old when she got the privilege to come to work with me. I was so happy to have found a job that let me bring my child with me and help her prepare for kindergarten at the same time! My journey with New Horizons all started at the Boise Avenue center, where I eventually got adopted into another family. Every curve and bump I’d hit throughout my life; my work family gave me extra support and was right there by my side. Brandy Turner, the director at Boise Avenue, always made it clear that her door was always open for her teachers, she always made time for her employees whenever they needed someone to talk to, and it was always easy to come to her because she understood what a lot of us were going through. Brandy helped guide me to not only become a stronger, confident teacher but encouraged me to further my education. This year I not only received my associate in early childhood education but recently got promoted as an Early Childhood Manger in Training (ECMT). I can’t imagine my life without New Horizons, my roots are deep in the rich soil of all the things I’ve learned and accomplished. I would recommend New Horizon Academy to any family looking for wonderful quality care for young children. With New Horizons, family comes first, we love, respect and care for our families."

"My oldest (who is now 8) went here for several years and we were heartbroken to leave. The staff felt like family and I had no complaints! My daughter was always happy, clean, well taken care of, and learned so much to prepare her for school! I now have a toddler and am happy to see that the same director, Brandy, is still there! She is amazing. We will be sending our son here as well and can’t wait to be back. I toured a few other daycares closer to home since this one is a little drive for us but I saw some questionable things. I would rather drive a little farther for the peace of mind that new horizon gives me! Communication is great & back when my daughter was enrolled they offered so many fun things for the kids like dance classes, Spanish, picture day, arts & crafts, summer camps, etc. We can’t wait for our son to learn and grow here!"
