"I had a problem with my air conditioner and called a different company first they had replaced the capacitor and tried to recharge my system with 410a. They then told me the compressor in my air conditioner would need replaced and quoted an additional $2640 to fix the issue on top of the $360 I had already paid. They had also charged me $670 to recharge the unit with 410a, but the charge had been removed when unit still did not work after. I was suspicious about what was going on and decided to switch companies. I called the owner of Carter Comfort Systems because they were recommended to me. I called them and asked them if they could give me a second opinion and competitive quote. They told me up front they did not recommend replacing just the compressor, but they wanted to know more details about the age of the unit and what the previous company had done. They told me they recommended sending out a technician. The technician came the next day was at my house for probably an hour. My air conditioner is running. They said the unit was overcharged causing the compressor to overheat and turn off. They took out 3lbs of 410a the previous company and put in to fix the issue. So glad they were recommended to me literally saving me thousands of dollars."
